Murray as an
adult married and built his first home in Turo, Nova Scotia and
with his wife moved to Ontario in 1950. He worked at McCormick's
Ltd. until his retirement in 1982. He returned every summer to
his beloved Prince Edward Island until failing health in 2002
prevented his yearly pilgrimage "down home". Aside from his beloved
birthplace Murray had a passion for horse racing and hockey,
a true Maple Leaf fan his entire life. As a husband he was thoughtful
and considerate, as a father he was loving and patient, as a
papa he was proud and beyond overjoyed, as a friend he was dependable
and kind hearted, and as a human being he was sweet and good
natured. Murray was not a distinguished or refined man by birth,
profession or status. Yet he was and is held in the highest regard
by all who knew him, as a person who valued his family, valued
doing the right things and would lend a helping hand quietly
and unassumingly when needed. A thank you to Comcare for their
wonderful devotion and visits over the past two years. A special

his sudden and untimely passing. Thomas was a Professional Engineer
and also held degrees from the University of Manitoba and University
of Toronto. Tom was also an avid golfer, reader, music lover
and amateur historian. He had been the general manager of several
Canadian companies in the automotive component parts industry
as well as an entrepreneur for the finish of his career. During
his retirement, Tom spent most of his energy providing the loving
support and environment for his wife to pursue her career, always
being there whenever she needed assistance. Indeed, while Tom
was imminently successful in his other roles, his role as husband
and helpmate surpassed all others and was the accomplishment
of which he was most proud. Tom will be greatly missed by all
those who knew and love him. Friends may call at the Turner and
Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of
the Jane subway, on Tuesday, September 26, from 5-9 p.m. The
Celebration of his Life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday,

Born
in Duncan, British Columbia on July 21st, 1920, as a young boy
Slade moved to England. In 1937 he enrolled in the University
of London and entered the University Officer Cadet Corps, from
which he joined the Queens Own Regiment in 1940 and was later
commissioned into the Middlesex Regiment. During World War 2
Slade served in England until 1943 and
in North Africa, Italy,
and Greece until 1946, attaining the rank of Captain. Upon his
return to the United Kingdom he enrolled in Imperial College.
Slade returned to Canada in 1955 where he later graduated in
Geological Studies from Queen's University in Kingston and University
of Toronto, Ontario. For many years Slade worked in the geological
field throughout Canada. He eventually became a high school teacher
with the North York Board of Education as the head of Chemistry
at C.W. Jefferys S.S. Slade was a sensitive lover of nature and
the environment, of music and books, and especially of travel.
He and Sonia enjoyed many wonderful trips and adventures together
and he was busy planning another to Turkey when he became ill.
His colleagues and students will remember him as a gifted teacher,
a conscientious administrator and a superb mentor. Slade's many
Friends will remember with affection and admiration his wide-ranging
interests, his genuine concern for others, his gentlemanly nature
and his indomitable spirit. His spirit soars with the eagles.
A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.

on April 28th, 2006 in Toronto. Jamie was born in Campbellford,
Ontario, son of the late Rev. C.E.

He graduated from Oakwood Collegiate, Trinity College, University
of Toronto (45/49). Joined the Queen's York Rangers in 1937 and
Canadian Army 1943-46 serving overseas with Can. Intelligence
Corp. Priested in 1950-Curacy at St. Stephen's, Calgary, Alberta.
Became Priest-in-Charge 1951-74 Fort Chimo, Québec (Kuujjuaq),
Administrator Diocese of The Arctic 1974-1984. Consecrated Bishop
Suffragan of The Arctic 1979-1986. Appointed Bishop Ordinary
of the Canadian Forces 1986-91. Chapline to the Regimental Council
of Queen's York Rangers and
to Central Ontario MacLeod Society.

home, on Saturday, January 14th, 2006. Beloved husband of Mable
"Mae". Loving father of Lorraine and her husband Clinton of Toronto,
