DUNLOP, Harry Lewis
83, of North Sydney passed away at Harbourview Facility in Sydney Mines on Monday, September 18, 2006. Born in Boularderie East, Victoria County, Harry was the son of the late Archibald Roderick and Amelia (THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON) DUNLOP. He resided in the Pier for many years, working as an auto body repairman. When Harry moved to London, Ontario in 1969, he took his painting experience to General Steel Wares, spraying the appliances as they came off the production line. Harry returned to Cape Breton in 2003 to live out the remainder of his life. Harry was a veteran of World War 2 serving with the Merchant Marine and was a former member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 263 London, Ontario. He was the dear father of Wayne (Brenda) of Thamesford, Ontario; Sylvia JOHNSTON (Bill) of Long Point, Nova Scotia; Harriette BOUTILIER (Floyd) of Bras d'Or, Bill (Jane) of London, Ontario. Harry was the dear Papa of 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Phyllis DUNLOP of Florence and Theresa McEACHERN of Big Bras d'Or, as well as many nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Angeline MacINNIS, an infant daughter, and infant son, Harry Lewis; one grand_son, Stephen JOHNSTON; seven brothers: Kenneth, Henry, John, Archibald, Daniel, Russell and Sydney; five sisters, Aulena DEVOE, Hannah KAISER, Annie, Christina and Amelia Mae. Friends will be receive 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Saint_James Presbyterian Church, Big Bras d'Or, with Rev. Susan Smith officiating, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Polly was an active member of the community volunteering in many endeavours who enjoyed the past year and Friends at the Cambridge. Lorna is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rev. Loren GORMAN of Millville, New Brunswick; four sons, David (Cathy), Maple Ridge, New Brunswick; Ronald (Anne) Langley, British Columbia; Robert (Gail), Paul (Nancy), both of Strathroy; one daughter, Carol ARRAND (Bill), Grand Bend. Also survived by four brothers, Gurdon ROZEE (Lorraine), Halifax, Nova Scotia; Ronald ROZEE (June), Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia; Eldon ROZEE (Sarah), New Glasgow, Nova Scotia; and Charles ROZEE (Carol), Timberlea, Nova Scotia two sisters, Roberta TOSH (Harry,) Sarnia; and Carol SMITH, Petrolia as well as eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Peacefully at St. Michael's Hospital on Monday, February 6, 2006. Peggy, loving daughter of the late Frank and Mary WALPOLE. Loving sister of Mary Frances GILTZ and husband Bill and Judith DESWAAF. Predeceased by her brothers Robert and John. At Saint-Hyacinthe, on April 15, 2006, at the age of 94 years, passed away peacefully Madame Simone Faribault Rochon, born in Ottawa. She has joined her dear husband and lover, the late Paul ROCHON. She leaves to mourn her children, Micheline BOUZIGON, Pierrette Paule ROCHON (Michel GRENIER), Gérard ROCHON (Danièle T. ROCHON) and Bernard ROCHON (Patricia DWYER,) her grandchildren Mylène and Michèle BOUZIGON, Geneviève ROCHON, Gabrielle Rochon HUMBERSTONE and Mathieu SAVARIS, her great grandchildren Sophie, Jules, Evan and Elliott, as well as many relatives and Friends. A memorial service will be held on a later date. For those who wish, donations to the Maison Victor-Gadbois, 1000 Chabot Street, Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil (Québec) J3G 9Z9, would be appreciated.
