companies with over a 50 year history from its inception in the
1950's to the 1990's and on. Alex was a pillar of strength in
community affairs with his passionate and tireless leadership
in Jewish, Toronto and national causes, and, of course, support
of his beloved Israel. Among his many championed causes were
State of Israel Bonds, Shaare Zedek Hospital, United Jewish Appeal,
The Jewish Community Centre, Baycrest Centre and countless community
charities. Alex's dream led him to be a founder, with the late
Gideon Housner, in forming Massuah - Institute for Holocaust
Education based in Tel Yitzak, Israel. At Benjamin's Park Memorial

of Margaret's children, Janet, Nancy, and Eleanor, and loved
grandfather of her seven grandchildren. Gordon graduated from
University of Western Ontario in 1939 Honour Maths and Physics
and later, Teachers College. After teaching a few years, he went
overseas with the Canadian Fire Fighters in Great Britain. While
there he transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force. Returning
to Canada, he taught mathematics in Etobicoke high schools for
many years. He was active in his church and enjoyed traveling.
A cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced
at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Humphrey

March 20, 2006. Linda demonstrated immeasurable strength and
determination throughout her life. Her gentle, graceful, and

art, in particular the work of untrained, naïve artists some
of which he discovered and brought to prominence. He and his
wife Pat created an important collection of Canadiana that is
renowned internationally and that has been made available to

Formerly of Montreal and Toronto, Jane attended Trafalgar School
and McGill University. During World War 2 she joined the Canadian
Red Cross and was sent to England where she drove ambulances.
Jane will be fondly remembered for her love of life and her commitment
to her family and her wonderful Friends. Always smiling and with
a twinkle in her eye, she will be forever in our hearts. Many
thanks to Nancy, Manny and the caring staff in the assisted living
section of Stillwater Creek. A private funeral service will be
held. If desired, in lieu of flowers, a donation in Jane's memory
to the Victorian Order of Nurses would be greatly appreciated.

and went to join her beloved Alf on July 16, 2006 after a lengthy
illness which she fought with customary spirit and hope at Leisureworld
Caregiving Centre in Brantford. Joyce leaves behind her two daughters,

loving care for our dear Mum at Charlotte Villa and Leisureworld.
Special thanks to her closest Friends who loved her and continued
to visit until the end. Friends will be received at McCleister
Funeral Home, 495 Park Rd. N., Brantford on Thursday from 2 p.m.
until 4 p.m. So that her many Friends will be able to remember
the fullness of her life, a Memorial Service will be held September
at McCleister Funeral Home, time and date to be announced later.

Eileen of Cape Town, South Africa. Peter was born in London,
England in 1919. He qualified as a Chemist at the University
of London. Following service in World War 2, he immigrated to
Cape Town, South Africa where he became Artistic Director of
the CAPAB professional theatre company. During this time,
he was acclaimed for his acting, direction and production of
the World Premieres of a number of plays by the renowned and
controversial playwright Athol Fugard. He and his wife Jennifer,
a dance choreographer and theatre designer, moved to Canada in
1981. He continued acting and directing at the Citadel Theatre
in Edmonton and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Cremation
has taken place. At Peter's request, there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roxy Theatre
in Owen Sound and the Georgian Theatre Festival in Meaford through
Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services.
