rare type of pneumonia. Known and loved around the world as medical
educator and mentor, Doctor Don had just celebrated his 81st
birthday with his wife Doctor Liz and his family and Friends.
He leaves three sons, Jamie of Manotick, Don (Ruth) of Ayr, and
Alan of Ottawa, and two daughters Alison of Saint_John's, Newfoundland
and Elizabeth (Paul

health worldwide, he worked for years in Kenya, Uganda, Malaysia,
Laos, the Philippines, etc., interlacing overseas service with
educational leadership in McGill, Memorial University of Newfoundland,
McMaster University and University of Ottawa. Private funeral
service will be held at All Saints' Anglican Church, Ottawa.
A memorial service will be arranged and announced later. The
family offers heartfelt thanks to the nurses and medical team
in the intensive care unit Ottawa General Hospital, Doctor
WHITLEY

Paul was Principal Senior Ecologist at Eco Metrix Inc. and travelled
extensively across Canada including the Territories and the Arctic,
as well as the U.S.A., and many remote areas of the globe. Paul
will be sadly missed by his environmental colleagues and clients,
that he worked with over the years. Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held in New Market on Tuesday
afternoon.

Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville, Ontario, with his

has been donated to the School of Anatomy at the University of
Toronto and there will be no memorial service held. Family and
Friends are invited to the family home for an open house on Saturday,

Dick passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, January 17th,
2006 at home in Oakville, Ontario. Dick is survived by his true
love Gail, sons Randy (Lisa), John (Chan), Norm (Shannon) and
daughter Traci (Tony). Dick showed great love for his grandchildren
Rebekah, Jamie, Erin, Johnathan, Daniel, Skylar, and Cole. Dick
will be overjoyed to join his mother and father Lynne and Elijah
BEAVER and his brother Grant in the heavens above. Dick will
be missed dearly by his brother Tim, sister Mandy, his Aunt Norma,
his sister-in-law Joan, niece Susan and family, and nephew Scott
and family. Born February 27th, 1939 Dick enjoyed his life and
Friends in Sudbury, Ontario meeting his wife Gail in Copper Cliff,
Ontario. Dick and Gail exchanged wedding vows on November 19th,
1960. Dick was an avid golfer, basketball player and overall
sports enthusiast. Dick umpired baseball in Copper Cliff, encouraged
his kids to play hockey and baseball, and managed his daughters'
soccer team in Oakville during the 80's. Dick became a Chartered
Accountant in 1964 and joined Inco in Copper Cliffs mining offices.
Dick spent 30 years with Inco across Canada settling in Oakville
in 1980, retiring in 1997. Dick and Gail travelled the world
during their retirement enjoying the sunshine of Florida, the
luck of the Irish, the culture of Europe, and our great Canadian
land. Dick and Gail would always come home with stories about
new Friends. Dick's joy of life will be missed dearly on this
earth. His spirit will live on forever in the happy hunting grounds
of his Native Canada. We love you dearly Dick and will miss you
forever! A service will be held on Thursday, January 19th, from
2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Oakview Funeral Home located at 56 Lakeshore
Road West in Oakville (Kerr and Lakeshore), 905-842-2252. Please
