Loving father of Donald MERCER of Owen Sound, Coleen and her husband Dan HARRINGTON, of Guelph. Father-in-law of Mary Lou MERCER of Owen Sound. Loved Grandfather of Mark HARRINGTON and his wife Laurel of Halifax, Paul HARRINGTON and Alescia RICHARDSON of Waterloo, Michael HARRINGTON of Toronto, Christina MERCER and John VIELANDER of Calgary and Anne and her husband Moona RAHEMTULLA of Owen Sound. Proud great-grandfather of Zarra. Dear brother of Bill and his wife Joyce and brother-in-law of Beth BEAUSOLEIL and her husband Peter of Calgary. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and by Eleanor's family; Joyce, (Mrs. Arthur CARR) and Ian. Predeceased by his son Wayne and by his sister Marilyn (Mrs Jack RUTHERFORD). Died in Ottawa, July 4th, of complications from asthma and a rare type of pneumonia. Known and loved around the world as medical educator and mentor, Doctor Don had just celebrated his 81st birthday with his wife Doctor Liz and his family and Friends. He leaves three sons, Jamie of Manotick, Don (Ruth) of Ayr, and Alan of Ottawa, and two daughters Alison of Saint_John's, Newfoundland and Elizabeth (Paul COXWORTHY) of Saint_John's; grand_son Adam sister Elizabeth (Douglas) WATERSTON and family; Dan (Jenny) WATERSTON of Guelph, Jane (Francois BREGHA) and Christy (Tom BEAVER) of Ottawa, Charlotte (Rob) TURNER of London and Rosemary (Phil KING) of Toronto and many great-nephews and nieces. Born in Montreal and educated at McGill, Don served overseas in World War 2, taking part in the liberation of Holland. With Liz, fellow paediatrician and fellow devotee to the cause of furthering child health worldwide, he worked for years in Kenya, Uganda, Malaysia, Laos, the Philippines, etc., interlacing overseas service with educational leadership in McGill, Memorial University of Newfoundland, McMaster University and University of Ottawa. Private funeral service will be held at All Saints' Anglican Church, Ottawa. A memorial service will be arranged and announced later. The family offers heartfelt thanks to the nurses and medical team in the intensive care unit Ottawa General Hospital, Doctor WHITLEY and Sarah WATERSTON. Of Beeton, Ontario in his 53rd year at the New Market Hospital on Friday, November 17, 2006 after a very brief and courageous battle with cancer. Paul is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 30 years, Janet Lynn BEAVER. Devoted father of Tahnee of London (University of Western Ontario) and Sean of Beeton. Dearest son of Dorothy and Lloyd McKEE of London. Also loved by his mother-in-law Marjorie of Cobourg, Ontario and the late John BEAVER. Brother to William McKEE (Jill) of Elora, Ontario and Douglas McKEE (Lucia) of London. Loved also by brothers-in-law Wayne, Rick and David BEAVER and families. Paul loved his nieces and nephews Jason, Sheena, Adam and Stephanie. Paul was born in London and attended Boyle Memorial and Arthur Ford Public Schools. Graduated from Westminster Secondary and went on to Guelph University where he completed his Masters in Science. Paul was Principal Senior Ecologist at Eco Metrix Inc. and travelled extensively across Canada including the Territories and the Arctic, as well as the U.S.A., and many remote areas of the globe. Paul will be sadly missed by his environmental colleagues and clients, that he worked with over the years. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Paul's life will be held in New Market on Tuesday afternoon.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and Friends at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Friday, November 17, 2006. Paul will be deeply missed by his wife, Jan BEAVER and his children Tahnee and Sean. Beloved son of Dorothy and Lloyd McKEE. Loving brother of Doug and Bill McKEE. Cherished brother-in-law to Lucja McKEE, Jill McKEE, Zannie BEAVER and Mary BEAVER. Much loved uncle of Adam, Stephanie, Jason, and Sheena McKEE and Lucas, Carrie and Denton BEAVER. Paul loved his family, his work in environmental consulting and his leisure time filled with gardening and cottaging. He had a deep commitment to environmental protection and his wisdom and expertise will be greatly missed by all of his colleagues at EcoMetrix and beyond. Our deepest gratitude to the nurses of the Cancer Inpatient ward for their infinite compassion and loving kindness. Passed away in his 86th year on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville, Ontario, with his wife of 58 years Gladys, daughter Karen, husband Ron and grand_sons Scott and Michael, by his side. Following his wishes, his body has been donated to the School of Anatomy at the University of Toronto and there will be no memorial service held. Family and Friends are invited to the family home for an open house on Saturday, January 14, 2006 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 22 Cambridge Ave., Orangeville. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to a charity of their choice.

BEAVER, John Richard " Dick," C.A.
Dick passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, January 17th, 2006 at home in Oakville, Ontario. Dick is survived by his true love Gail, sons Randy (Lisa), John (Chan), Norm (Shannon) and daughter Traci (Tony). Dick showed great love for his grandchildren Rebekah, Jamie, Erin, Johnathan, Daniel, Skylar, and Cole. Dick will be overjoyed to join his mother and father Lynne and Elijah BEAVER and his brother Grant in the heavens above. Dick will be missed dearly by his brother Tim, sister Mandy, his Aunt Norma, his sister-in-law Joan, niece Susan and family, and nephew Scott and family. Born February 27th, 1939 Dick enjoyed his life and Friends in Sudbury, Ontario meeting his wife Gail in Copper Cliff, Ontario. Dick and Gail exchanged wedding vows on November 19th, 1960. Dick was an avid golfer, basketball player and overall sports enthusiast. Dick umpired baseball in Copper Cliff, encouraged his kids to play hockey and baseball, and managed his daughters' soccer team in Oakville during the 80's. Dick became a Chartered Accountant in 1964 and joined Inco in Copper Cliffs mining offices. Dick spent 30 years with Inco across Canada settling in Oakville in 1980, retiring in 1997. Dick and Gail travelled the world during their retirement enjoying the sunshine of Florida, the luck of the Irish, the culture of Europe, and our great Canadian land. Dick and Gail would always come home with stories about new Friends. Dick's joy of life will be missed dearly on this earth. His spirit will live on forever in the happy hunting grounds of his Native Canada. We love you dearly Dick and will miss you forever! A service will be held on Thursday, January 19th, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Oakview Funeral Home located at 56 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville (Kerr and Lakeshore), 905-842-2252. After a lengthy illness the family of June McLEOD (BEAVIS) express with sorrow her passing on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Country Terrace Nursing Home. Born in Sheffield, England on June 4, 1926 she was a war bride of 57 years to the late Roy Micky McLEOD (2002.) Loving mother of Jill (John) WARNICA, Paul (Linda) McLEOD and Anne (John) MOLNAR. Special mother to Joan WARNICA. Beloved grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 3. Predeceased by her son Glenn McLEOD. As her home was open to many, so was her heart. She will be dearly missed. Family and Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road (one block east of Egerton) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2006 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Keith STOKES officiating.
