Peacefully at Stratford General Hospital surrounded by her family on Thursday September 14, 2006 Laura Alberta (PEHLKE) SCHULTZ- ANSTETT of Clinton and formerly of Stratford in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of John ANSTETT of Clinton and the late Charles SCHULTZ (1975.) Loving mother of Bernie SCHULTZ and Barbara YOUNG of Stratford; Beverley SAVELLE and Chris BALLA of Inuvik, Northwest Territories; Bonnie ROYAL of Clinton; John and Anna ANSTETT of Calgary; David and Nancy ANSTETT of Clinton; Paul and Beth ANSTETT and Michael and Bev ANSTETT all of Exeter; Patricia and Steve WOODHOUSE of Collingwood, Cathy ANSTETT of Stratford and Peter and Maureen ANSTETT of London. Sadly missed by 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ella HASTINGS of Listowel, Elsie ALDER of London, Lorine RYAN of London and Lillian and George SMITH of Atwood. At Laura's request cremation has taken place. After a short courageous battle with cancer George Kenneth Shipway passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, February 12, 2006, in his 66th year. Loved husband of Shirley SHIPWAY for 43 years. Loving father of Heather and Mark WATSON of Saint Thomas, Scott SHIPWAY and Debbie MEDIEROS of Orwell. Proud "Papa" of Dylan WATSON. Fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Don and Jean SHIPWAY of Ailsa Craig; Jim and Diane SHIPWAY of London; Bob and Donna SHIPWAY of Millet, Alberta; Tom and Linda SHIPWAY of Stratford; Ralph and Laura DAVIDSON of Ailsa Craig; Stan and Elaine JOHNSON of Grand Bend; and Betty EMERICK of Hensall. On January 10, 2006 after a lengthy illness, Bob, aged 57, passed away peacefully with his family at his side. Eldest son of Lorna and the late Keith BALLAGH, brother of Viv, Beth, Mike, Gary and Donnie, father of Danielle and Bryan (wife Jenn), grandfather of Kyla, Kevin and Damon. Also remembered by many Friends and relatives. Bob always adhered to his life's philosophy: "You can do anything; the impossible just takes a little longer". BALDOCK, Ronald, C.I.M., P.Mgr. C.E.T.
Left his world the way he lived it, as a true and dignified gentleman, succumbing to cancer on April 1, 2006 at the Victoria Hospital, with his family by his side. Born in Kent, England, August 1925, Ron served with the Royal Air Force during World War 2, postings icluded Belgium, France, Holland and Turkey. After the war, Ron became a prominent electrical engineer in England, immigrating to Canada in 1958, working for the Department of Transport Canada for 22 years at London International Airport, as a maintenance supervisor. Ron was an incredible man with a sense of humour, strength of character, always ready to help, and he loved his garden. Ron is the beloved husband of 50 years and best friend of Margaret ("Petal"). Loving and devoted father of Lisa and her husband James ALBION. Predeceased by daughter Deborah. Much adored popa of Ashley, Hailey, and Austin. Brother to Leslie and his wife Betty, and Joyce FREIBOTH. Uncle to Kathy, Jennifer, Davina and Claire. Brother-in-law of Don SMITH and his wife Brenda, and family. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antonius (Tony) LEERMAKERS, in his 67th year on March 2, 2006, surrounded by his family. He is sad to leave them behind, but will wait for them in Heaven…. He leaves behind his wife Lynn (RYAN,) his children who loved him greatly: Mary (Tony) VANDERMEER of Woodstock, Bill (Stacey) LEERMAKERS of Mississauga and John (Pam) LEERMAKERS of Mississauga, Debbie (Darrin) BALLANTYNE of London and Doug RYAN of Whistler, British Columbia. He will be missed by his grandchildren: Phylicia, Whitney, T.J., Amber, Rachel, Victoria, Tyler, Courtney, Kyle, Cameron, Ashley and Samatha. Died September 30th, London Ontario of acute myelogenous leukemia. Tom was born in Chatham, Ontario, and graduated from the University of Western Ontario, Meds '61. He interned at Saint_Joseph's Hospital in London, Boston City Hospital, and the Royal Victoria Hospital, and the Royal Edward Hospital, both in Montreal. He practised respirology and taught at Saint_Joseph's Hospital and the University of Western Ontario since 1968. Retiring from Saint_Joseph's Hospital staff in 2002 he entered private practice in 2003 and continued working until his illness was diagnosed in August 2006. Tom is survived by his wife of forty-five years, the Reverend Mary McDowell WOOD of Shawville, Quebec, and their five children, Judith (Sigurd EIDSMO) of Denmark, Jane (Blair CRAWFORD) of Ottawa, Sarah (Rob BALLANTYNE) of Toronto, Pete of Hubbards, Nova Scotia, and James (Christine THORPE) of Toronto. Grandchildren are Julia, Thor and Jarl EIDSMO, Annie and Liz CRAWFORD, and Mark, Ben and Sam BALLANTYNE. Tom is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Ida Jean "Terry" (David MARTIN) of Ottawa. Tom returned to university recently and received his Honours B.A. in Art History and Criticism (with distinction) from the University of Western Ontario. Tom lived life to the fullest, and he lived it in style. Some of his essays have appeared in the Globe and Mail. He traveled widely, including extensive walking tours in Europe. He supported the arts and he cherished Friendship. Tom was an entirely generous and adoring husband; he was a father who delighted in, admired and respected each of his children; and he was a faithful brother. He was a fair and gracious colleague, and a kind and astute doctor who practiced and taught the art of medicine. He was a perceptive and eloquent teacher. In all things, Tom was "A good and faithful servant to his life's end". Our family feels a profound gratitude for the superb care Tom received in Oncology and Palliative Care at Victoria Hospital from Doctor Jo-Anne HAMMOND, her Resident Doctor Yishai WISE, the support staff, and the wonderful nurses for their infinite kindness to us.
