McNAUGHTON, Agnes Ethel (formerly BRESETT, née PENGELLY)
Age 96 of Wallaceburg was called home to be with her Lord on Thursday May 18, 2006. She was born in Dawn Township daughter of the late Charles and Frances (STEELE) PENGELLY. Agnes was a member of North Dresden Baptist Church, the Ladies Aid and Mission Circle. Surviving is her daughter Lois (HORNICK) and her husband Leonard SALISBURY; two grandchildren: Katherine and her husband George ALLMAN of R.R.#3 Dresden, Brian HORNICK and his wife Nancy DILL of London; two great-grandchildren: Marnie and husband Dan CUMMING, Trevor ALLMAN; one great-great-grandchild Connor CUMMING; three step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She is predeceased by her first husband William BRESETT and her second husband Gordon McNAUGHTON, son-in-law Lee HORNICK, three sisters, five brothers and an infant brother. Visitors will be received at the Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home, 620 Cross Street, Dresden on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev. Alex GRAY/GREY officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. Passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2006 in Toronto in her 100th year. Lovingly remembered by nieces Victoria VAN HEMERT, Barbara ALLPORT, and other members of the family. Predeceased by her brothers Eric and George ALLPORT, and sisters Charlotte (Dot) MOFFAT and Helena (Dee) LEQUESNE. Our "Auntie Mike" was a proud member of the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service and served in Canada and Britain from 1943-46. She was also an astute and successful business woman, joining her father at Green's Canada after the war and retiring in 1964 as Managing Director. She will be missed by many extended family, Friends, colleagues and former employees. Private family memorial service was held on December 7th, 2006.
