HOLMES, Gerald W.
It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that the family of Gerald W. HOLMES of Clinton, announces his passing on Saturday, July 16, 2005 at the Clinton Public Hospital, after a long battle with cancer in his 72nd year. He was the beloved husband for 49 years to Donna (KING.) Dear father of Greg and his wife Susan of Mississauga and Karen of Clinton. Very proud grandfather of Andrew, Michael, Sarah and Rachel. Dear son of the late Ethel (HONEYFORD, 1972) and Russell HOLMES (1977.) Dear brother of Jack and Nancy HOLMES of Clinton and brother-in-law of John and Barbara DABBS of Hamilton. Also missed by nieces and nephews, Dan and Cemile HOLMES of Washington, D.C., Jeff and Mary YONCHUS of Guelph, Marge HOLMES of Clinton, Mike and Sue McKAGUE of Ancaster, Jeff DABBS of Hamilton, Chris and Tracy DABBS of Vancouver, and 5 great nephews and 2 great nieces.
He owned and operated Fairholme Dairy for many years. He was a past master of Clinton Lodge Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons No. 84. Gerald was also a member of the Scottish Rite and was an honourary member of the Director's Staff of Mocha Temple, London. The family will receive Friends at the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd, 153 High Street, Clinton, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at Ontario Street United Church on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 2 p.m. Reverend Janet FRADETTE will officiate with Bob ELLIOT/ELLIOTT assisting. Cremation. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or the Shriners Hospitals for Children as expressions of sympathy. A memorial service will be held by the Clinton Masonic Lodge Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons No. 84 on Tuesday at 9 p.m.

With deepest sorrow, the family of Meriko (Mary) YONEKURA announces her passing on September 15, 2005. Beloved wife of Tadao, dear mother of Janice and Kathy, she will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters Ikuo (Yorko), Karl (Kay), Miyo, Lil and Sam (Susan), and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Ruth at the Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga Site on September 19, 2005. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ross. Cherished mother of Parr. Loving sister of Dan, Lily and Dorothy. Ruth will be sadly missed and fondly remembered for living each day of her life to the fullest. D'ANGELO, John "Gianni" Michael (July 1, 1955-September 10, 2005)
With sorrow, the family of John D'Angelo announce his peaceful passing on September 10th after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Shelley (née WIGHAM.) Profoundly loved by his mother, Ancilla and father Ivo (deceased). A good friend to William (Bill) and Anne WIGHAM (Calgary.) Sadly missed by sister, Amalia CORRIERO and husband Peter (Toronto) and sister-in-law Karen FRANKS and husband Myron (Calgary and Nelson.) Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Lavinia CORRIERO and husband Ken YONG- PING (Toronto,) Ivano CORRIERO (Toronto,) Kira, Matthew and Aaron FRANKS (Calgary.)
John was a man of honour and high standards. A graduate of University of Toronto (Honours, B.Sc.) and University of Western Ontario (M.B.A.) his work in the world of technology and finance brought him great satisfaction and garnered him many life long Friendships. His thirst for knowledge was unquenchable and his love of writing culminated in the book he believed in each and every one of us. John will be remembered as an old soul by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the entire care team at Princess Margaret Hospital, especially Dr. David HEDLEY, Dr. John KIM, Dr. Dori SECARRECCIA, Dr. BRYSON, Dr. Madeline LI and the compassionate professionals on the 16th floor.
John will be cremated as he wished. Visitation to be held at Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West, Thursday, September 15th between 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 24 Cheritan Avenue, west off Yonge Street (one block south of Lawrence Avenue), at 11: 00 a.m. Friday, September 16th. Reception and luncheon will follow mass.
