BROWN, Mariana Clare (née PATERSON)
Peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 12, 2005, aged 66. Daughter of the late John and Trude PATERSON. Beloved wife of David, loving mother to Elizabeth YETISIR of Deep River, Catherine (Rob) MacLEAN of Huntsville and Alison BROWN (Alex DICK) of North Vancouver, and grandmother to Mike and Emily Sezen YETISIR, Allan and Sandra MacLEAN and Isobel DICK, and sister to Peter and Jamie PATERSON. Predeceased by sister Caroline. Visitation at St. James', 137 Melville Street, Dundas on Friday, December 16th from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place at Saint John The Evangelist, Charlton Avenue West, Hamilton on Saturday, December 17th at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Mariana has requested donations to either the Church of Saint John the Evangelist or the Victorian Order of Nurses.

Unexpectedly in the Dominican Republic on Thursday, March 3, 2005, Charles Frederick Paul GEORGE of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, age 62 years. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee HOLLIER). Dear father of Lisa YETMAN (Christopher) and Sean (Katarina). Loving son of Edna GEORGE and brother of Marilyn TAILOR/TAYLOR. Predeceased by his father Frederick GEORGE and by his brother-in-law Jim TAILOR/TAYLOR. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, Prince Edward Island, from pwhere the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.belvederefh.com

YETMAN, Ann Kathryn (née THORNE)
Artist, writer, gardener and teacher, died peacefully at home on June 24, 2005 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Halifax on July 12, 1947, she was the daughter of Dr. Edward Lefferts THORNE and Edith Frances (HILL) THORNE. She attended Sir Charles Tupper Elementary School, Cornwallis Junior High School and Queen Elizabeth High School in Halifax before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, in 1968. She went on to graduate studies in literature at Memorial University in Saint John's, Newfoundland., and anthroposophy and education at Emerson College in Sussex, England. She also studied art at Emerson and Arscura in Toronto. She taught at Holy Heart of Mary Regional High School in Saint John's, Rockingham School in Halifax, the Child Life Department at the Isaac Walton Killam Hospital for Sick Children in Halifax, the American School in Salvador, Brazil, and Bayview Glen School in the York Region of Toronto. She married Michael YETMAN at Saint Mary's Bay, Newfoundland, on June 6, 1977, in Sussex. They lived in England; Salvador and Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Elliot Lake, Ontario, before settling in Richmond Hill, Ontario, north of Toronto, in 1983. They had two sons Matthew, born in England, and Christopher, born in Brazil. She is survived by her husband and two sons, as well as her mother a sister, Susan of Liverpool, Nova Scotia; and two brothers, Edward of Millarville, Alberta., and Stephen of Ottawa. She read profusely, loved good food and to be surrounded by close Friends and family. That is how she died. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The funeral service will be held in the Christian Community Church, 901 Rutherford Road, Vaughan at 9: 00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28. Services will be followed by cremation.

Suddenly, on Thursday, December 15, 2005, at his home in Georgetown. Solomon, in his 81st year, husband of Marian (née BHARATH.) Loving father of Allison McCLUSKEY (James,) Wendy McLELLAN (Mike,) Kathleen YETMAN (Scott), Stephen, Lisa LINDERS (John), and Jacqueline TANCOO (Chris BLOWES.) Cherished grandfather of Lee, Krista, Alyssa, Zachary, Travis, Luke, Jake, Nicholas, Ethan, and Jacqueline, and Chris' expected child. Dear brother-in-law of Sheila BHARATH, and brother of Frank BHAGWANDEEN. Predeceased by his sisters Adella JATTAN, Evangeline SAMAROO, and Estelle. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones and son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd.
