GREENIS, Josephine Mary (née FIRTH) (1917-2005)
She will live in our hearts forever. It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Josie GREENIS. The Lord took her to Heaven in order to relieve her pain and suffering after bravely battling Alzheimers. Our mother passed away on Tuesday, January 18th, 2005 at the age of 87 in her home at The Westmount in Kitchener, Ontario. Josie was born on December 8th, 1917 in Sarnia, Ontario, made her home in London, Ontario where she raised her family and spent her last few years in Kitchener. Predeceased by husband Max, sisters, Nina and Gloria and parents Guy and Lily FIRTH. Loving mother of Barbara McNAUGHTON (Bill,) Max GREENIS (Bonnie,) Linda McHUGH (Patrick) and Wendy LAFETE (John.) Loving grandmother of Kelly BROWN (Bob,) Brenda McNAUGHTON, Brian McNAUGHTON (Kim), Shannon GREENIS, Barrie McNAUGHTON (Jacqueline) and Jim GREENIS. Great-Grandma of Meagan BROWN, Logan and Bailey McNAUGHTON. Visitation in the Lloyd R. Needham Funeral Chapel (520 Dundas St.) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, January 24, 2005 at 11 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Society of Kitchener-Waterloo, 233 Frederick Street, Kitchener, N2H 2M7 would be appreciated.

McHUGH, Libby
Libby McHUGH was born on February 14, 2005 at the St. Joseph's Health Centre, London. She arrived with bright eyes, spikey blond hair and chubby cheeks. She fought bravely to stay with us. Libby died on February 16, 2005 at St. Joseph's Health Centre. Libby is the infant daughter of Patrick McHUGH and Peggy KITTMER and the little sister of Molly. Libby is the granddaughter of Bob and Verlyn KITTMER and Brian and Antonina McHUGH. Dear great-granddaughter of Ray and Blanche ASH. Loved by aunts and uncles Jane KITTMER and Jeff STEWARD/STEWART/STUART, Lisa and Greg TWOMEY and Brian and Emma McHUGH. Cousins, Annie, Rosie and Gracie will miss playing with her at the cottage. A service will be held for family and close Friends on Sunday, February 20, 2005. Pastor Richard HRYNIW will officiate. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit of St. Joseph's Health Centre through the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford.

Dear father of John McHUGH (Dawn) of Etobicoke, Michael McHUGH (Carol) of Saint Thomas and Christine NANTAIS (Victor) of London. Beloved grandfather of Erin CUNNINGHAM (Michael,) Laura, Taylor and Heather DAWE. Great-grandfather of Jack and Conor CUNNINGHAM, Shelby, Emileigh Gagne, Ethan and Autumn MALIK. Dear brother of William McHUGH of London and Robert McHUGH of Phoenix, Arizona. Predeceased by Jack, Fred and Mary. Visitors will be received at John T. HARCOURT, William Vernon
On Sunday, August 7, 2005 after a short illness, at home, surrounded by his loving family. A beloved husband, adored father and treasured friend, Bill was an extraordinary gentleman of great generosity, wit and charm. A lifelong journalist, he began his distinguished career with a summer job on the Kitchener Waterloo Record, then went on to work for Canadian Press in Toronto, Vancouver and New York, where he covered the United Nations. In the 1950's he left New York for Reuters in London, England where he spent several years on the North American Desk.
In 1960, Bill returned to Canada and began his long career at Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Television, serving as executive producer of news specials with foreign assignments that sent him to Vietnam, Russia, Europe and South Africa. Over the years he executive produced a variety of documentaries and current affairs programming including Ombudsman and Marketplace. His last assignment was Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's The Journal, where he had the great pleasure of working with an outstanding group of Canadian journalists.
Bill will be deeply missed by his dear brother Capt. John HARCOURT, his sister-in-law Joan, an extended family of nieces and nephews and many cherished life long Friends.

At Afton Park Place, Sarnia. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Kathy). Dear brother of Elizabeth (Colin McDOUGALL,) Joyce (David McDOWELL,) all of Markham, Hugh and Steve, both Toronto, Thomas (Liz), Kenneth (Irene,) all of Scotland and Martha (Tom NUGENT) of England. Brother-in-law of Cicely (Sam ROBERTS), Joan (Roy WILLIAMS), all of North Wales, Peter FLINT (Gretta) of Mississauga and Helen (Jeremy MOULAND) of Sarnia. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Hugh and Elizabeth and brother Robert and sister Dorothy McHUGH. He was born in Scotland and came to Canada in 1954. In his youth, Bill was a champion amateur boxer. He was a member and Past Master of Todmorden Lodge No. 647 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, Toronto, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62 and Strangway Seniors Centre, Sarnia. Bill was a keen lawn bowler in Campbellford and Sarnia. A Memorial Celebration of Bill's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 143 Main St. N., Markham, preceded by Masonic Service at 12: 30 p.m. Friends who wish to may send memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, 20 Eglinton Ave. W., Suite 1200, Toronto, Ontario M4R 1K8.

DE NANCE, William " Bill" Alexander (1927-2005)
William (Bill) Alexander DE NANCE, beloved husband of Bev DE NANCE of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2005, at the age of 77 years. Bill was born in Toronto, Ontario and became an accomplished figure skater, where he met his future wife at the Toronto Skating Club. They became Canadian Figure Skating Dance Champions in 1954 and 1955. With a lifelong interest in figure skating, Bill became a World Level Figure Skating Judge. He had a forty year career as a lawyer ending with six years as the Public Trustee of Alberta. Bill was also a published author and an avid gardener. Besides his loving wife of fifty years, Bev, Bill is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Joy DE NANCE and his daughter Sara DE NANCE, all of Calgary. "Grump" will be fondly remembered by his two grandchildren, Jay and Danielle. He is also survived by his nephew Greg (Holly) McHUGH of Toronto. Bill was predeceased by his sister Evelyn McHUGH. Peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital on May 11, 2005 in her 99th year. Isabella, beloved wife of the late George Arthur HILTON. Loving mother of Jack and his wife Joyce, William and his wife Doris, Richard and his wife Betty, and the late Doreen HYMAN. She will be sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Dear sister to Jen EASON and predeceased by sisters Agnes McHUGH and Nancy HENDERSON and a brother William CROOKS. Iain, age 29, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2005 as a result of a motor vehicle collision. Iain's name meant "God's magnificent gift" and that he truly was - a gift to us all. In his short life Iain touched many lives through his spirit, enthusiasm for life, his smile and cheerful laughter. He was a great man who helped anyone in need no matter what the situation. Iain was the loving husband of Julia, proud, devoted and loving father of McKaila. Dear son of Myra and Ron. Cherished brother of Fiona (Brooke) SMITH- WINDSOR and Kyle (Shannon) STEWARD/STEWART/STUART. Son-in-law of Veronica McHUGH. MacHUM, Lawrence Merritt, Q.C. (August 02, 1929-March 10, 2005)
After a short but fierce struggle with pulmonary fibrosis, Larry died peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 10th, 2005. He was a son of the late Donald Wilfred MacHUM and Mary Gibson (MERRITT) MacHUM. He is survived by his wife, Judith BRANNEN, by four children -- Greg MacHUM (Ann) of Fredericton, Lauren COSMAN (Mike) of Saint John, Geoff MacHUM of Halifax and Grant MacHUM (Jane) of Halifax, as well as by three step children Lisa ALWARD (John BALL) of Fredericton, Peter ALWARD of Lethbridge and Gavin ALWARD (Mary) of Halifax. In addition, he is survived by 13 grandchildren (Melissa, Michael, Emily, David and Heather MacHUM, Jonathan and Justin COSMAN, Andrew and Matthew MacHUM, Henry, Alexander, Amelia and Mary MacHUM) and by five step grandchildren (Hilary, Jack and Peter BALL and Olivia and Emily ALWARD.) His sister, Kathryn GILLESPIE of Calgary, and brother, Donald (Sandy) MacHUM of Edmonton, along with five nieces and one nephew also survive. At Larry's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A family celebration of his life will take place at a later date. His remains have been cremated and his ashes will be scattered, as he wished them to be, over the Bay of Fundy. He loved his wife, his children, his beautiful garden and walking through the Yorkshire Dales.
