Suddenly in Mississauga on Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the age of 43 years, Norman McGHEE Jr., of Toronto and Southampton, beloved fiance of Avelina ACOSTA of Toronto, cherished son of Norm and Theresa McGHEE, brother of Liz and Leo CAMPBELL all of Port Elgin, Mike and Shanni of Bellingham, Washington, and Doug and Melanie of Bolton. He is survived by is nieces and nephews Daniel, Dylan, Michaela, Savannah, Aubrey, Declan, Joshua and Kathleen. Predeceased by his sister Kathleen in 1986. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, from 7: 00 to 9: 00 p.m. on Thursday, and from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Elgin on Saturday morning April 16th at 11: 00 a.m., with Father Mike FRANCIS as celebrant. Parish prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Friday evening at 7: 00 p.m.. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Southampton. Memorial contributions to the Dr. Simone Canadian Food for children or to the David Suzuki Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Mrs. Olive May McGHEE passed away peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home on July 30, 2005, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Mr. Hugh McGHEE (1968.) Loving mother of John (Judy) McGHEE and Richard (Marilyn) McGHEE. Cherished Grandmother of Sean, Susan, David, Kimberly, Steven and 10 greatgrandchildren. Dear sister of Jean COOK. Predeceased by sisters Belle and Bernice. Olive will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends. Private family service was conducted in the Lloyd R. Needham Funeral Chapel, 520 Dundas Street on Monday, August 1, 2005 with interment to be held at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford, at a later date. Loving mother of James McGHEE and his wife Pat, and Richard McGHEE and his wife Dianne. Cherished grandmother of Allen McGHEE, Allison VANDENENDEN, Dwayne McGHEE, and Allison TRAUTMAN. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Allan, Jennifer, Kathryn, David, Ashley and Darrell. She is predeceased by her brothers Mac, Howard, Stuart and Norman PERRIN. McGHIE, Dr. Thomas George
Though reluctant to leave us so soon, Dr. Thomas George McGHIE peacefully left this earth, leaving behind his loving wife and best friend Dr. Margrieta Edels McGHIE, his children whom he cherished, Loree KAY and her husband Steve; Brad McGHIE and his wife Linda; John Paul McGHIE and his wife Catherine; and Susan BALDWIN and her husband Charles. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Adam, Rachel, Karly, James, Charlie, Spencer and Simon. Tom will also be sadly missed by the Edels family, and his faithful companion, his dog, Dregs. After 68 Christmas mornings, Tom left us on Christmas Day, twelve days after being diagnosed with cancer. Special thanks to Dr. Janet WILSON, Dr. Albert ANNEN, Dr. Paul MAROTTA, Dr. Cam GHENT, the Palliative Care Teams, the forth floor doctors and staff at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital for their professionalism and compassion. Tom was a devoted family physician for over 40 years. A celebration of Tom's life will take place with visitation Wednesday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, and a memorial service on Thursday, December 29th, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Tom are asked to consider the Multi Organ Transplant Service.
