Following a brief and courageous battle with Leukemia, Sheila, surrounded by her family, passed away on the 21st of June, 2005 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. A native of Dublin, Ireland, and a resident of Ottawa, Sheila is survived by her sister, Sister Ina, her daughter, Ite, and by her sons Colm and Dara and his wife Andrea. In her eighty-ninth year, Sheila will be missed by her grandchildren, Cathleen, Cara, Declan, Brendan, Liam, Sheena, and by Caroline, Graham and family including great-grand_son Colter. Sheila's nieces and nephews of the Martin family, Mel, Fiona, Nesa and Ludu and their families who comforted Sheila continuously during her illness, are gratefully thanked. Special mention to Chris CLEARY in Dublin and to the Bradys in Toronto. BAUER- MAISON, Barbara (January 13, 1952-August 31, 2005)
In the presence of her family, Barbara Ann BAUER- MAISON made the transition to new life on August 31, 2005, in her 53rd year. We thank Dr. Sean BLAINE, and the many nurses who cared for her at home. Barbara very much appreciated the support of her family and Friends throughout her illness with breast cancer. Particularly, she treasured the support of Hope Springs Centre in Waterloo and L'Arche Stratford.
She was the daughter of Patricia (SCHNURR) and Raymond BAUER. She was married on August 6th, 1988, to Marc MAISON of Fontenay-Sous-Bois, France. She was the loving mother of three adopted daughters from China: Naomi 11, Elisha 9, and Natasha 7. A special daughter-in-law to Claudine and René MAISON of Fontenay-Sous-bois, France.
She is survived by her sister Brenda and her husband Pat MURPHY of Toronto, Carol and her husband Neil PALMER of St. George, Maureen and her husband David McGAHEY of Perth, Ray BAUER and his wife Renée (UFFELMAN) of Kitchener, Marianne and her husband Brian HIFF of Cambridge, Lisa and her husband Frank LEAHY of Waterloo, E.J. of Detroit, Michigan, Peter and his wife Kathleen (FITZPATRICK) of Waterloo, and Brian and his wife Holly (HAUSER) of Hawkesville. Her brother and sisters-in-law in France are, Denis and Elizabeth MAISON of Briançon, Hugues and Thérèse MAISON of Bussy-St.-George, and Laure and Benoit DUMAS of Orsay. She will be missed by over forty nieces and nephews in Canada and France.

James Arthur CLARKSON, 88 of 1766 Linwood Ave., Lancaster, Pennsylvania, died Friday, May 13, 2005 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Born in Clinton, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret A. Steep CLARKSON. He was the husband of Audrey M. Hodges CLARKSON and they were married for 64 years. Mr. CLARKSON was district manager of Northern Telecom in Toronto, Canada for 41 years and retired in 1982. He served in World War 2 in the Canadian Army. He was a third degree Mason with the Andrew Hershey Lodge of Lancaster, and he was a member of Telephone Pioneers. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Sandra A. CLARKSON of Mountville and Lois Anne wife of Dr. Enrico MARTINI of Lancaster, five grandchildren, one sister, Margaret McGALE of Toronto, Canada. A Christian Prayer service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. WEINERT, Jane Dryden (née McGANITY)
Jane Dryden McGANITY, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2005. Born June 25, 1928, in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada to Arthur James and Ethyl (DRYDEN) McGANITY. She graduated from Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School in 1946 and Kitchener- Waterloo College with a B.S. in math and science in 1950. She married Donald L. WEINERT on January,3, 1953. They immigrated to the U.S. in 1954 and Don worked in the pipeline business until his retirement in 1988. Jane was a talented athlete winning many track awards when she was young. She was a swimmer and tennis player later switching to golf at the Oaks Country Club. She took great care of her home, family, Friends and the extended Mapco family. Don and Jane were a large part of the beginning of the Green Country Soccer Association. She was an active member first at St. Lukes Episcopal Church and later Saint Johns Episcopal Church. In 2003, Don and Jane and Millard and Norma WOOLSEY were the first two families to move to Montereau at Warren Woods. She is survived by her husband, Donald, daughters and son-in-laws Anne and John VEENSTRA, Stillwater; Linda and Bob LYON, Los Altos, California; Patricia and John PHILLIPS, Tulsa; and son and daughter-in-law John and Liz WEINERT, Austin, Texas; and her three precious grandchildren Jordan, Will and Georgia; her step-mother, Kathryn McGANITY, San Antonio, Texas; her sister-in-law, Mary McGANITY, Galveston, Texas; and her brother-in-law, Alan PARKIN, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, William McGANITY, and sister, Elizabeth PARKIN. There will be a visitation with family at the Montereau Theater, 6800 S. Granite, on Friday, July 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. and the memorial service will be at Saint John's Episcopal Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 30.

Our Mom has passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Hal in 1987. She was so loved and will be sorely missed by her family daughter Karen and husband Bill HURST, Jude and her late husband Dennis McGANN, grandchildren Andrew Hurst Gillian of Ottawa, Christian Hurst Ellen of Toronto, and Erin McGann Christopher of London, England. She will be missed by her great grandchildren Freya and Dylan, who so delighted her.
Born in Michigan, she spent most of her life in Montreal where she was active in the United Church, in womens' groups and contributing her lovely alto voice to the choir. Golf and Friends at the Royal Montreal Golf Club, travel overseas and in their beloved Airstream trailer were among her fondest memories. In retirement they relocated to Victoria Place, Bobcaygeon and to Don Mills where Mom found support in a wonderful group of Friends.
Mom was everything a mom should be; warm, strong, supportive, never restrictive. The family and all the Friends she touched will remember the open, loving, generous woman she was before Alzheimers stole her away from us.

She will be sorely missed by her loving daughter Betty; her endearing granddaughters, Susie, Julie, Laura and Lisa; her three fine grand_sons-in-law, Dr. Peter HUGHES, Peter ORRELL and Craig MacGAULEY; and her four adoring great-grandchildren, Marley, Jonathan, Vanessa and Stephanie. Passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 16, 2005, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Anne (née McGAVIN) for 56 years. Predeceased by father Joseph PARKE, mother Augusta, sister Isabel (Davis), brothers William (Bill) and J. Herbert (Herbie). Survived by sister Madeline (Veino). He will be lovingly remembered by his children and grandchildren. Don was the creator and owner of Don's House (in the Pape and Danforth area) for 25 years. NEUMANN, Rudolf " Rudy" Franz
(Toronto Transit Commission Pensioner) At the Palliative Care Unit of Sunnybrook Hospital, Rudy passed away on July 21, 2005 in his 83rd year, after several years of declining health and a recent short and courageous battle with cancer. Loved and loving husband of Ruth for 38 years. Cherished father of Elke MAXWELL (Harry, deceased,) Sylvia GERMAN, Evelyn GLYNN, Rudy, and Christina, and step-father of Linda BRIGGS and Sandy McGAW (Eric.) Opa will be sadly missed by grandchildren Jennifer (Rick), Natasha, Bryan, Kurt, Paul, Candice, Robert, Rachel and Daniel. He will also be missed by great-grandchildren Jessica and Meghan and family members in Germany and Canada. Predeceased by his first wife Renate. During his retirement years, Rudy spent many happy hours socializing and playing pool at Verband der Donauschwaben in Kanada in Scarborough and playing table tennis with Friends and members of the Pickering Table Tennis Club. Family and Friends will be received at the Heritage Funeral Centre, 50 Overlea Blvd., 416-423-1000, on Sunday, July 24 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Anselm's Roman Catholic Church, 1 MacNaughton Rd., Toronto, on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 10: 00 a.m. Committal of cremated remains at a later date.
