At Belmont House on Wednesday, July 13, 2005, in her 103rd year. Beloved wife of the late F. Norman MacFIE. Dear sister of the late Marguerite McGLYNN, Jean BROWNLOW, Marion PENNY and John MacFIE. Great Aunt of Ian LOCHRIDGE (Shelagh) of Nashville, Tennessee, Neill LOCHRIDGE of Ellicott City, Maryland, and Antonia (Jim) GORTON of Santa Monica, California. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Belmont House. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), for 1 hour prior to the service, which will be held in the chapel at 11 o'clock on Friday, July 15, 2005. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

At Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Friday, April 15, 2005. Velma HALNAN (née KNOWLES) of Southampton, in her 91st year. Wife of the late George W. HALNAN. Dear mother of George Kenneth HALNAN of Aurora. Precious grandmother of Melodie Ann Ellen and her husband Shad ANSARI of Toronto, and Andrew HALNAN of Brampton. Beloved sister of Eileen WINTON of Unionville and Shirley Ann KNOWLES of Southampton. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Helen KNOWLES of Toronto, Lois KNOWLES of Ajax, and Margaret KNOWLES of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by her special Friends Andrea and Alan RITCHIE of Brampton and Jean INNES of Southampton. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and Friends of the community. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Gladys KNOWLES, by her brothers, Bert, Roy, Wilfred, William, Warren, Bruce, Carl, and by her sister, Jean McPHIE. At Velma's request there will be no visitation. Cremation. A Celebration of Velma HALNAN's Life will be held in the Chapel of the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 1 p.m. A Time of Fellowship and Sharing will follow in the Family Centre of the funeral home. A Service for the interment of ashes will be held at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. West, Toronto, on Monday, May 2, 2005 at 3 p.m. Expressions of remembrance to the Southampton United Church or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. PORTER, Mary-Louise "Dub" (née PORTER)
45, died peacefully at home on Monday evening, June 20, 2005, after a brief battle with cancer. The body was taken to Glen Oaks Memorial Garden for cremation. Memorial gathering Thursday, June 23, 2005 from 4: 30 to 8:30 p.m. at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 9th Line (at Dundas), Oakville. Dub was the mother of daughters Sarah Ivy HARDY and Meg Elizabeth HARDY of Oakville and step-daughters Lyndsay Anne HARDY and Rachael Paige HARDY of Scarborough. Daughter of the late Robert Oswald PORTER and the late Elizabeth Mary PORTER (née GYSELMAN,) she is survived by her siblings and their spouses Patricia Linda McPHIE (David Paul McPHIE), Barbara Jean "B.J." PORTER (Jonathon LOMAS), Robert Blair PORTER (Noni PORTER), Vicki PORTER- PFLEGER and Wendy PORTER. Also survived by nieces and nephews: Rachael Elizabeth McPHIE, Romney Porter McPHIE, David Paul McPHIE, Robert Sanpet PORTER, Leon Gantet PORTER, Ashley Claire PORTER, Cassandra Elizabeth PORTER, Kristen Nicole PFLEGER and Ian Joseph PFLEGER. Dub will also be missed by ex-husband and best friend James Steven HARDY, and many other Friends who touched her life. Donations to the Canadian Arthritis Society or the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated in lieu of flowers.

Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at Ballycliffe Lodge Nursing Home in Ajax. Catherine is predeceased by her husband Edward. She will be sadly missed by her brother John McPHIE. Loving aunt of Isabel MILLER, Ken McPHIE, Bob McPHIE, Brian McPHIE, Garry McPHIE and Dorothy CORDINGLEY. Catherine will be missed by her grand-nieces and nephews. Catherine is predeceased by her brother James McPHIE and sister Isabel ARCHBELL. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W.
