McBURNEY, Ken
Peacefully at his residence in Port Franks, on Wednesday, January 12th, 2005, Ken McBURNEY formerly of London in his 79th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Luceil McBURNEY. Dear father of Ronald McBURNEY and Gail SINCLAIR, Virginia GUSE, Kim McBURNEY (Heather), Teresa DAVIDSON, Lyndia McBURNEY, Sylvia McBURNEY, Barbara RIDDELL and Karen RIDDELL. Also loved by eleven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North (2 blocks north of Oxford) on Saturday, January 15th, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. with visiting one hour prior to the service. Rev. Robert SINCLAIR officiating. Cremation to follow. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ken are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.

After a courageous battle at Woodstock General Hospital on February 25th, 2005, Marie McINTOSH (McBURNEY) in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late R. Bruce McINTOSH (2000) for over 50 years. Cherished mother of Ken (Kara), Brenda (Gary) Aspden, Richard (Lisa), Jack (Linda), Tom (Rhona). She will be sadly missed by several grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dear sister of Doug McBURNEY (Elsie), Alec McBURNEY (Ivy), Margie ARMSTRONG (Bill,) Donna VIGAR, Joyce FRASER (Bill) and sister-in-law of Dave McINTOSH (Donna.) Predeceased by daughter Marlene and by her sisters Ruth JOHNSON and Audrey GARNER. Marie has been a longtime member of Knox United Church Embro and was a hairdresser at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock for over 20 years. Friends may call at the R.D. Dear mother of Anna Marie FIDOM of Tavistock, Georgena MacBURNEY of Ingersoll, Rosaletta CSEPEI of Woodstock and Keith and his wife Norma of Mt. Brydges. Dear sister of Murray and his wife Rosa of Sarnia. Also survived by 22 grandchildren, 41 greatgrandchildren and 11 great-greatgrandchildren. Predeceased by one son Albert James (1969,) one grand_son Ricky Alan GEE (1963,) one brother Thomas OVERHOLT and two sisters Martha GRANGER and Mary SHELLINGTON. At Victoria Hospital, London on Monday, November 14, 2005. Charles "Chuck" Gordon DUNCAN of London, in his 70th year. Beloved husband for 46 years of Carol Anne (UDELL) DUNCAN. Proprietors of "Between The Bread Cafe and Catering." Dear father of Jeffrey DUNCAN of London, Julie Anne DILLON and her husband Kirk of Lakefield and Stephen DUNCAN and his wife Alissa MORRISON of Toronto. Dear brother of June McBURNEY and her husband Warren of Oakville, and Don DUNCAN and his wife Alma of Brighton. Also loved by his grandchildren Patrick and Emily, and Rebecca, Kate and Loghan. McBURNEY, Harvey Gordon (January 24, 1929-October 23, 2005)
Died peacefully with his wife Dulcie (Del) of 50 years at his side. Also survived by children and grandchildren - Greg, Heather (Allan-Stephanie, David) PASTRO, and Frank (Donna-Shannon, Crissy.) A hotelier in Shediac and Fredericton, New Brunswick, he was Past Pres. New Brunswick Hotel Assoc. and Director Cdn. Hotel Assoc. In British Columbia, Harvey joined Carling O'Keefe sales/marketing team then Gilbey's Distillers before retiring. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golf, traveling the world, his life Friendships, but above all family. We will miss you. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 30th - 1 p.m. at the Nanaimo Golf Club. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice is appreciated.

Suddenly, at her home in Fergus, on Saturday, October 15, 2005, Betty Marie ELGIE (née HUMPHREY,) in her 78th year. Beloved wife of 54 years to Stuart ELGIE. Dear mother of Marie (Ivan McBURNEY,) Gwen (Adrian GOOYERS,) Jeanne (William WATSON) and Stuart (Jennifer MALLARD.) Loving grandmother to Sean and Shannon McBURNEY, Laura and Christina GOOYERS, Chloe and Thomas ELGIE and Nakita, Lucy and Molly. Betty was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel HUMPHREY. Survived by her sisters Stella HUMPHREY and Shirley (Norman) HUNT and brothers Gordon (Donna) HUMPHREY and Bill HUMPHREY, as well as in-laws Catherine HUMPHREY and Jean and David (Wilma) ELGIE. Predeceased by brothers John, Ernest and Elliott (Betty Jane) HUMPHREY, and in-laws George and Drew (Joyce) ELGIE and Gladys HUMPHREY. She will be missed by many HUMPHREY and ELGIE nieces and nephews, and countless Friends and neighbours on McAlister Street in Fergus and in Arran and Nichol Townships. Betty was a graduate of the class of 1949 Nursing Program at St. Joseph's Hospital, Guelph, and enjoyed a long career nursing at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus, the Homewood Health Centre in Guelph, with the Victorian Order of Nurses and as a private duty nurse. Friends will be received at the Thomson and Collins Funeral Home, 160 St. David Street North, Fergus, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 11: 30 a.m., with Reverend David WHITECROSS officiating. Following a service of committal at Belsyde Cemetery, a reception will be held at the Fergus Legion. Born February 14, 1933 in San Fernando, Trinidad. Rad passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Centre on Monday, January 3, 2005 at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of Gloria (CULOS) of Toronto. Dear father of Dawne WILKINS (Robert) of Brooklyn, New York. Dear brother of Joyce, Joan, Neville, Joycelyn (deceased), Jean, Jermaine, Earline, Hillary, Aldwin, Marilyn and Danny. Will be sadly missed by the Culos Family, many nieces, nephews, other family members, especially his brother-in-law Albon McBURNIE, and Friends. Radwas a kind, gentle man, who loved music, photography and electronics. He spent many years working in the electrical engineering field in Trinidad, England, Canada and the U.S.A. Many thanks to the staff of St. Joseph's Health Centre, especially the Haemodialysis Unit for their excellent care over the years. Our precious "Mame" was taken from us far too young. Catherine died peacefully with family at her side at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at age 36. Beloved daughter of Art and Ann. Dear fiancée of Mark HOPKINS. Cherished sister of Elizabeth and her husband Jim LITTLE. Treasured granddaughter of Catherine McBURNIE.
