It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lars

FERRARESE
in Italy will miss her youngest brother. Lars is predeceased
by his older brothers Carlo and Gustaf, and leaves behind a sister-in-law
and many nephews and nieces in Finland and Italy. Lars was born
in Finland on June 10, 1941, and grew up in Helsinki. He became
an officer in the Finnish army, where he served 1961-1962. In
1965, he received a B.A. in Economics at Helsinki Swedish School
of Economics, and in 1972 he completed Harvard Business School's
Program for Management Development. Lars began his career at
age 25 as export sales manager for Enso Gutzeit Oy. In 1969,
he moved with his young family to Vancouver, after accepting
an offer by Enso to work as sales manager for Eurocan Pulp and
Paper Co. Ltd., later becoming its President and Chief Executive

in the Finnish archipelago. For Lars, this was the most beautiful
place on earth. Lars was passionate about fishing and wildlife.
He loved to spend time doing crossword puzzles. He was a member
