GALINDO, Januario
Peacefully at John Joseph Place in Owen Sound on Saturday morning December 3, 2005. Januario GALINDO, aged 90 years, the loving husband of Marguerite GALINDO (née COMBES.) The loved father of Yvonne GALINDO and her husband Doug ORCHARD. Dear father-in-law of Ingrid WAHANIK. Loved grandfather of Sylvie, and Jean Philippe. Predeceased by his son Jean Rene. Dr. GALINDO was a university professor, pharmacist and biochemist formerly living in Colombia, South America. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. Interment in Saint Mary's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

At her residence on Friday, May 13, 2005 Violet DRIESMAN of Harrietsville in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Adrian DRIESMAN (2000.) Dear mother of James DRIESMAN and wife Elaine of Harrietsville. Loving grandmother to Tammy, Cathy and Lindsey. Sister of Allan ROOS and wife Hazel of Owen Sound. Born in Timmins, Ontario February 13, 1924, daughter of the late Edwin and Edith MARKVARDSEN) ROOS. Violet was a member of the Harrietsville Mossley United Church and the United Church Women. She was a charter member of Charity Rebekah Lodge #377. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday May 16, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Reverend Lloyd BROWN officiating. Suddenly, in Hamilton, on Sunday, January 2, 2005, in his 50th year. Beloved son of Dorothy and the late Gordon of Burlington. Loved brother of Gregory CLARK and his wife Jennifer of Kitchener, Randy CLARK and his wife Linda of Mississauga, and Judy WAHER and her husband Mike of Niagara Falls. Bob will be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was an employee of N.C.R. and a long-time, avid hockey player. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of Queen Elizabeth Way) Burlington (905-632-3333) on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A private family Service of Remembrance will take place at a later date. Also loved by her grandchildren, Peter RENNENKAMPFF and his wife Jovanna, Carol HORN and her husband Blair, David VON WAHL and his wife Susan, Marie MUX- WAHL and her husband Julio, Nick VON WAHL and his wife Judy and Andrea VON WAHL and her 8 great-grandchildren. GRANT, Jack (1910-2005)
Born in Mlawa, Poland, died at Baycrest Hospital on Tuesday, August 23, 2005. A graveside funeral was held on August 24, at Dawes Road Cemetery. Jack was predeceased by his loving wife Ann SILVER and by his brother Moishe GRADZANOWSKI. His brothers Avrum and Elleh and his parents Toivieh and Frimet perished in the Holocaust. He is survived by his nieces Dorothy WAHL, Dina WOLFISH (Marvin) and Leah LEVINE (Philip) and by their children. Our uncle was a tailor by trade but his passion was song and especially Yiddish song. He remembered melody and verse of the songs that depicted with humour and poetry the world of Eastern European Jewry. He was a lover of Yiddish. He was a reader and a chess player. He believed in the ideals of social justice and was a member of the Workmen's Circle from his arrival in Canada until his death. He was above all gentle, generous and kind. May you sleep peacefully and may the earth lie gently upon you our dear and gentle uncle.
