Mrs. Evridiki VOKAS fell asleep in the name of the Lord on Friday, October 28, 2005. Beloved mother of Zissis and his wife Martha, Kaliroy and her husband Tom. Cherished grandmother of Bobby, Vicki, Helen and her husband Brad (DENETRIOS,) Niki and her husband Angelos. Visitation will take place at the Heritage Funeral Centre, 50 Overlea Blvd., 416-423-1000, on Sunday, October 30th, 2005 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 31st, 2005 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (30 Thorncliffe Park Dr.) at 10 a.m. Interment Pine Hills Cemetery.

Peacefully, at her home, with her family by her side, on Tuesday morning, August 23rd, 2005. Joan Phyllis HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON (née FRASER,) of R.R.#2, Owen Sound. Dearly beloved wife for fifty-four years of Elgin HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON. Loving mother of Bill HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON and his wife, Helen, and Al HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON and his wife, Elaine, both of Owen Sound, Joanne DOUPE and her husband, Brad, of Mitchell, Bob HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON and Kirsten, of Meaford, Janis VOKES, of Desboro and Scott HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON and Deb, of Bognor. Proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her brother, Bob FRASER, of Scarborough. Predeceased by her parents, William C. and Jesse FRASER; her brothers, Bill, John and Howard FRASER and her sister, Catherine COLLINS. Friends may call at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250, 14th Street West, Owen Sound (376-7492) on Wednesday from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Phyllis HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, August 25th, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m., with Rev. Ted CREEN officiating. Interment in Annan Cemetery. In London on Wednesday, September 7th, 2005 at the age of 55 years, the former Christine WRIGHT, of Port Elgin and formerly of Petrolia. Wife of Tom VOKES, mother of Kevin and his wife Teresa, and Brad and his wife Carrie, all of Port Elgin. Grandma to Anslea, Justin and Brandon VOKES. Daughter of Hazel WRIGHT, of Wyoming and the late Alfred WRIGHT. Sister of Debbie SCHAEFER, of Wyoming, and Kathy and her husband Larry THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, of Sarnia. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, and by the entire VOKES family. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Soptember 9th. At Bluewater Health - Mitton Site, on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, Ross VOKES, 82 years, of Petrolia. Beloved husband of Margaret (née MacHAN) and the late Betty (née FREER) (1983.) Dear father of Bruce and Sue VOKES of Petrolia, Tom VOKES and the late Chris (2005,) Brian VOKES, and Bonnie TYRRELL and Bob TOWER all of Port Elgin. Dear grandfather of Kevin, Brad, Todd and Adam VOKES, Tim TYRRELL, Tammy LOOY, and Trevor and Troy PATTERSON. Dear great grandfather of Anslea, Justin, Brandon, Taylor, Maddison, Shane and Sydney. Dear brother of Ralph and Grace VOKES of Port Lambton, Doris and Harry SQUIRE of Courtney, British Columbia, Margaret and Ron CURTS of Forest, Marion and Ritchie SMITH of Wyoming, and the late Kathleen (infant), John (2000) and Maurice (2004) and his wife Dorothea of Wiarton. Ross was a veteran of World War 2, serving his country overseas with the 1st Canadian Car Company. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #388, Wyoming, the Bruce Masonic Lodge #341 (Tiverton), the Mocha Shrine Club and the Legion of Honor. Ross was a retired crane operator with the Operating Engineers Local #793. Visitors will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Reverend Dr. David BONNEY officiating. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery. SCRATCH, Dr. Ruth Margaret (née VOKES)
At home in Stratford on Sunday, July 17, 2005, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Dr. Norvel (Pinky) SCRATCH. Loving mother of John SCRATCH and wife Carol and Cindy SCRATCH. Cherished Granny of Jonathan and Catherine. Predeceased by her parents John and Phila VOKES, her brother Fred (Maude) and sisters Ethel (Homer) and Ina. Fondly remembered by her nephew John SCRATCH, nieces Jane VERNER and Janet SIRRS and their families. Ruth graduated from the University of Western Ontario in medicine January of 1943. Her many interests included gardening, gourmet cooking, travelling, bridge, knitting and needle point, curling and many church activities.
Ruth's deep affection for others was shown, not only in loving care toward her family, but also for Friends.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Ruth SCRATCH will be held at St. James Anglican Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. The Venerable John SPENCER will officiate. Interment will follow in Avondale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice through the funeral home.
