Born in Maasland, the Netherlands,
on October 13, 1945, George came to Canada in 1951 and settled
in the Wainfleet area. He moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta in
1977 and worked at Syncrude for more than 25 years. Since his
retirement, George enjoyed visiting with family and with old
and new Friends, playing with his grandchildren, working on his
many house projects and curling. The funeral service for George
was held at Knox United Church in Didsbury on Thursday, November
3rd and internment followed in Didsbury Cemetery. The family
greatly appreciates all the expressions of sympathy and support
received. In George's memory, donations can be made to the Heart
