VIVA, Verli Ann
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Verli Ann VIVA of Saint Thomas on Friday, September 2, 2005, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney with her family at her side, at the age of 59. She was born in Florence, Nova Scotia, the loving daughter of Margaret (KING) VIVA and the late Tony VIVA. She will be dearly missed by her two children, who were the love of her live, her daughter Cindy (Mario) DICRISTOFORO, her son Miso KOVACEVIC, all of Saint Thomas and her beloved grand_son Alexander Anthony DICRISTOFORO, her "little angel" who brought her comfort during her illness. He truly was her heart and soul. Also surviving are her brothers David (Jean) VIVA and Paul (Allison) VIVA, her sister Goretti VIVA and her brother-in-law Bruce CURTIS. She will be sadly missed by the entire VIVA/ KING family including nieces, nephews and cousins. She worked as a Registered Practical Nurse at the Regional Mental Health Care Facility in London, Ontario She loved to travel and play cards in the company of her loving and faithful Friends and will always be remembered for her upbeat personality and positive outlook on life. She was a member of Saint Anne's Church. Public Visitation at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be recited at Saint Anne's Church Friday at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Thursday at 7: 00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined, with remembrances to the Liver Foundation

Jean S. at the Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre on Wednesday, July 20th, 2005 after a brief illness. The former Jean Sneddon CARRUTHERS aged 78 years. Jean was a member of St. Francis Church and the C.W.L. of the church. Mother to Louise BYGDEN and (Ray FIGUEIRDO) of London, Ellen DOYLE and (Larry MELS) of Windham Centre, Robert and his wife Raeann HARNOCK of Waterloo, Richard and his wife Debbie and Charles "Chuck" and (Deborah) of Ayr. Dear grandma to Eric and Ingrid, Scott and Trevor, Michael and Stephanie, Laura and Adam and great-grandma to Dana and Logan, sister to James "Jim" CARRUTHERS of Nanaimo, British Columbia and 2 nieces Starr and Rhonda from British Columbia. Predeceased by her parents John CARRUTHERS and Marion RAMSEY, her loving husband of 54 years, Ernest in 2004 and one brother Harry. KOEHLER, Elmina Catherine (TRAUTMAN)
(February 19, 1915-October 31, 2005)
Peacefully, on Monday, October 31, 2005 at Trinity Village Care Centre, amidst the love of her family, in her 91st year. Predeceased by Lorne (2000), her loving husband of 57 years. Sadly missed and always remembered by her children; Anne Maria McKERRAL (Cal,) Rosemary GUERREIRO (Michael,) Virginia ANDERSON (Robert) and Mary Jane GUTOSKI (Donald) and her grandchildren, Steven, Angela, Andrew, Amy, Jocelyn and Graham. Also remembered by her sisters, Sister Leona TRAUTMAN, Rita HASTINGS and Kathleen MAYNARD, her brother Howard TRAUTMAN and many nieces and nephews. Raised in Formosa, Ontario, Elmina lived in Kitchener for over seventy years. She was first employed at Tony Day Knitters and later at Terry Williams Sweater Company for more than twenty years when she retired in 1981 to care for her grand_son. A 43 year breast cancer survivor, Elmina devoted much of her life to caring for others. She was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's League. The family will receive Friends and relatives at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel (519-742-4481) 51 Benton Street, Kitchener on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be at 8: 45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (Blueridge Avenue) on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 10 a.m. with Father Joseph DE VIVEIROS, C.R. officiating. Cremation to follow. A reception will be held in the church hall.
