Peacefully at North York General Hospital in his 92nd year. Mikelis,
beloved husband of Morella. Father of Rita. Grandfather of Gunars
and Ingrid. Great-grandfather of Viktoria, Erik, Nicholas and

VILKS was born in Latvia and was a veteran and prisoner
of war during World War 2. He travelled the world working on
Cargo Ships. He lived in England then came to Canada in 1959,
and worked for many years for Ontario Hydro, retiring at 65 to
enjoy his family and his favourite pastime of fishing. He will
be greatly missed by family and Friends in Canada and Latvia.
A service celebrating Mikelis' life will be held at St. Andrew's
Latvian Lutheran Church (corner of Carleton and Jarvis) at 11
a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005. In lieu of flowers, a donation

Len died at his home in Tottenham on December 26th, 2005 with
his wife, Mary, and his cat, Boots, at his side. Born on June
17th, 1916 in Frampton (Beauce), Québec, Len was the loving husband
of Marie (THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON) for 48 years until her death in 1988. He
is survived by their 3 children: Margaret (Bob), Lionel (Trina),
and Tom (Susan) as well as 3 grandchildren: Jeffrey (Susannah),
Derek (Lisa), and Jill (Carl), and 5 great-grandchildren: Elisha,
Kaitlyn, Daniel, Maxwell, and Spencer. For the past 16 years
Len has been the devoted husband of Mary (Ingoldsby
THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON.)
Len is also survived by his sister, Madeleine
ROYER, in Quebec.
