BROAD, Chloe (née CLARK)
Chloe of Extendicare, Port Stanley, on Sunday, May 8, 2005, at her late residence, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late W. Everett BROAD (1985) and dearly loved mother of Mary Alice E. VEZINA of Saint Thomas, Janis and her husband Bill WHITE/WHYTE of Chatsworth, Coral and her husband Bill SOUTHERN of Leamington, Gail and her husband Bill Klein HAAR of Port Stanley and Wayne and his wife Jean BROAD of Stratford. Predeceased by 10 brothers and three sisters. Sadly missed by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Chloe was born in Saint Thomas on May 15, 1915, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Alice (OAKE) CLARK. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Diabetes Association or the charity of choice.

VEZINA, Sylvain
Vice-President, Mirage Margarine Ltee. Suddenly, in Beaconsfield on Monday, June 20th 2005 at the age of 47. Much-loved husband and 29-year soul-mate of Tanya (née KRUK) and adored father of Nikita - 'forever and ever and never stopping'. Cherished son of Jeannine and Paul VEZINA. He was predeceased by his parents-in-law Helen and Eugene KRUK. Fun-loving brother-in-law to Nadya and Roger LAVOIE, Lonya and Peter ZYTYNSKY and Valya and Kurt RAASCH. Big-hearted uncle to Tamara, Kyler, Kassandra, Tarasanne, Nicholas, and Michael. He will be terribly missed by the family, including many aunts, uncles and cousins. As Vice-President of Mirage Margarine, Sylvain was well-known and respected in the industry. His passionate commitment to quality and service were defining factors that contributed to the company's growth and success. Syl always enjoyed life to the fullest, at work, golf and at play. He loved to open his home to family and Friends, and his exuberant and easy-going nature made him the life of the party. He will be sadly missed by many colleagues and lifelong Friends whom he cherished deeply. Visitation at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20, Pointe Claire (Cartier Avenue, Exit 49) on Thursday, June 23rd from 7 to 10 p.m. and Friday, June 24th from 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. Funeral service at St. Edmund of Canterbury Church, 105 Beaconsfield Blvd., Beaconsfield on Saturday, June 25th at 12 p.m. Internment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Garden, 701 Donegani, Pointe Claire. Peacefully, surrounded by family, at McMaster University Medical Centre, Hamilton, on September 30, 2005. Daughter of the late Reverend Angus and Harriett MacIVER. Predeceased by her husband Dr. Frank Moore SCOTT, her sister Kay MacIVER and her grand_son Matthew. Dearly loved mother of Rosemary VEZINA (Maurice), Martha LAW (Warren), Dr. Peter SCOTT and Ian SCOTT (Janet). Cherished grandmother of Allison, Sylvia, Calum, Michaela, Elizabeth and Jonathan. Dear G.G. of Grant, Noah and Gillian. Mrs. SCOTT was involved in the creation of the Children's Museum of Hamilton, the Daycare Centre at McMaster (The Sheila Scott House) and the Fieldcote Museum in Ancaster. She was an active member of many other organizations. No visitation. Funeral Service will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 165 Charlton Avenue West (at Caroline St. S.) Hamilton on Monday, October 3 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Private interment. Donations in Sheila's memory may be made to the Sheila Scott Scholarship in English, McMaster University or to Central Presbyterian Church.

Former resident of Haileybury, Ontario. Peacefully at home in Toronto on December 4, 2005 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Timmy Herbert VEZINA. Predeceased by his first wife Yolande Marion in 1988. Loving father of Patrick, Michael, Denise ANDREW (Bill) and Hariette HENRY (Mike.) Proud grandfather of Jessica Marc and Marion ANDREW and Laura and Peter HENRY. Also survived by his sister Kathleen LAVIGNE (Mervyn) of Haileybury, Ontario. Friends and relatives may call at the Murray E. Newbigging Funeral Home, 733 Mount Pleasant Road Toronto on Tuesday from 7-9 and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10: 00 a.m. at Saint John's Chapel, 200 Church Street, Toronto.

Peacefully, after a very courageous battle with cancer, at Princess Margaret Hospital, on June 30, 2005, at age 55. Bryan, beloved husband of Beverley. Loving father of Matt. Cherished brother of Richard YULE, Lila VEZINA, Dave SHARP, Frank SHARP, and the late Harry SHARP. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, too many to name. Dear nephew to Fran YANNEFF. Bryan was a longtime employee with the City of Toronto. Friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough (between Eglinton and St. Clair Aves. E.), on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service complete in the Chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Cremation. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. SPEIRS, Eunice (née ALEXANDER) (1934-2005)
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of a devoted wife, daughter, and sister. Our cherished Eunice lost her courageous battle with cancer on September 15, 2005 at Trillium Health Care Centre in Mississauga. Eunice had a sharp wit and a great sense of humour. A long time employee of Nortel. She leaves to mourn her loving husband and best friend John and her mother Nora, Mascouche, Québec. Predeceased by her father Newton ALEXANDER. Cherished sister of Caroline (late Herbert DICKINSON,) Richard (Ethel MAITLAND), Norma (Michel MARTIN), Leslie (Shirley GREEN), Alvin (Bud) (Lilliane SSAINTUIS), Allan (Bill) (Linda VEZINA), Douglas (Karen CHABOT.) Fondly remembered by the Speirs family (Margaret), Arthur (Beverly), Wayne, Fred, Brian, David, Stephen (Noreen,) Joan WHITE/WHYTE, Rose, Delores ROBERTSON (Bruce,) Carol KINMOND (Graham.) Predeceased by Robert, Diane, and Don. Sadly missed by a host of nieces, nephews and many Friends.
