BLAIN, Jacqueline (née CANIE)
Suddenly on January 28th, 2005, Mrs. Jacqueline BLAIN (CANIE) of London, formerly of Timmins at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Alphonse for 57 years. Loving mother of Charlotte (David) McLEAN and Jerome BLAIN. Proud grandmother of Catherine and Paul McLEAN. Dear sister of Raymond CANIE (late Moira) of Timmins, Aline GODIN (Bob), Claudette VILLEMAIRE (Mervyn) and Denise UFFELMAN (Jim) all of Kitchener, and sister-in-law of Anne CANIE, Pat CANIE and Jack HELPERT. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Delia née LACHAPELLE (1996) and Provin CANIE (1955,) her sisters Yvette (1928,) Jeanne (Conrad) LAVIGNE (1995,) Laure HELPERT (1999) and by her brothers Marcel (1937), Robert (2004) and Jean-Guy (2004). Visitation will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, (2 blocks north of Oxford) on Sunday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7: 00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Parish, 515 Cheapside Street, on Monday, January 31st, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jacqueline are asked to consider the charity of your choice.

MARTIN, Philip Bradley (1957-2005)
Peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at age 48. Beloved son of Elinor (UFFELMAN) MARTIN and the late G. Clare MARTIN. Philip will be sadly missed by his sister Marianne McLAUGHLIN and her husband Bill of London, Ontario, his brother Clare MARTIN and wife Laurie (KOCHER) and nieces Alison, Sandra, and Leah of Bamberg, and family friend Al LUCAS. He will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many Friends. Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial service in the chapel of the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Richard HAWLEY officiating. A reception will follow immediately in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place with private interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Philip's family wish to thank the staff and volunteers at Freeport Health Centre, especially Dr. E. WILLIAMSON. A special thank you also to Dr. D.M. POCRNICH for giving Philip back his eyesight. BAUER- MAISON, Barbara (January 13, 1952-August 31, 2005)
In the presence of her family, Barbara Ann BAUER- MAISON made the transition to new life on August 31, 2005, in her 53rd year. We thank Dr. Sean BLAINE, and the many nurses who cared for her at home. Barbara very much appreciated the support of her family and Friends throughout her illness with breast cancer. Particularly, she treasured the support of Hope Springs Centre in Waterloo and L'Arche Stratford.
She was the daughter of Patricia (SCHNURR) and Raymond BAUER. She was married on August 6th, 1988, to Marc MAISON of Fontenay-Sous-Bois, France. She was the loving mother of three adopted daughters from China: Naomi 11, Elisha 9, and Natasha 7. A special daughter-in-law to Claudine and René MAISON of Fontenay-Sous-bois, France.
She is survived by her sister Brenda and her husband Pat MURPHY of Toronto, Carol and her husband Neil PALMER of St. George, Maureen and her husband David McGAHEY of Perth, Ray BAUER and his wife Renée (UFFELMAN) of Kitchener, Marianne and her husband Brian HIFF of Cambridge, Lisa and her husband Frank LEAHY of Waterloo, E.J. of Detroit, Michigan, Peter and his wife Kathleen (FITZPATRICK) of Waterloo, and Brian and his wife Holly (HAUSER) of Hawkesville. Her brother and sisters-in-law in France are, Denis and Elizabeth MAISON of Briançon, Hugues and Thérèse MAISON of Bussy-St.-George, and Laure and Benoit DUMAS of Orsay. She will be missed by over forty nieces and nephews in Canada and France.
Friends and relatives will be received at the W.G. Young funeral home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, Ontario, N5A 5T7 (519) 271-7411. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Taizé Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 50 Well Street, Stratford on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to L'Arche Stratford, Fr. David Bauer Charitable Trust, Bauer-Maison Children Trust Fund or to a charity of one's choice through the funeral home.

UFFELMAN, Kristine (1949-2005)
Passed away peacefully, in Toronto, on Friday, December 9, 2005, at Sunnybrook Hospital, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Dearly loved daughter of Doris UFFELMAN and the late Sheldon UFFELMAN. Devoted partner and companion of David SWYERS, and sadly missed by the Swyers Family. Special sister and best friend to Laurie KENNEDY (Randall) of Kitchener, John of Waterloo, and Craig of Elmira. Kristine was a graduate of the University of Toronto and was employed in medical research for 30 years. At Kristine's wish, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held at a later date. In memory of Kristine, donations may be made to the Campbell Family Institute for Breast Cancer Research at Princess Margaret Hospital or Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre. Arrangements entrusted to Lynett Funeral Home. Kristine will live on forever in our hearts.

POLOMSKI, Teddy
It is with much sadness that "the girls" must let Ted's many Friends and relatives know of his passing on April 21, 2005. After a long battle with cancer, Ted is finally at rest at age 74. Predeceased by his wife Sophia, his sister Helen UFNAL, and his parents Walter and Helen POLOMSKI. At Ted's request, cremation has since taken place. Daughters Tosia (David) ARCHER, Cindy (Brian) CRITCH and Ted's only grandchild Justin McCLELLAND, Barbara POLOMSKI (Cameron McLEOD,) and brother Wally (Maxine) POLOMSKI, wish to invite all those who knew Ted to attend a memorial service planned to celebrate his life at the Kirkfield Lions Club on May 1, 2005, 2-5 p.m.
