TUFANO, Rachel Anne
Suddenly at home on Wednesday, February 23, 2005. Rachel, in her 68th year, dear mother of Mark TUFANO and wife Shelby, and Paul TUFANO. Dear grandmother of Joshua and Charity, and great grandmother of Kyle, Taylor, and Caleb. Dear sister of James TUFANO and wife Sandra, the late Rita DESJARDIN and her late husband Rudy. Aunt of Scott, Christopher, and Teresa. Great aunt of Makensie. Rachel will be dearly missed by her many family and Friends. Friends will be received at the Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas St. West, (one block east of Runnymede) Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 28, at 1: 00 p.m. from Our Lady of Victory Church, 117 Guestville Ave. Interment Assumption Cemetery.

Gertrude Agnes (WOODLEY) Mills of Elgin Manor on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at her late residence, surrounded by her loving family in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Richard MILLS (1965) and the late Clifford TUFF (1969.) Loved mother of Hazel G. LUSCOMBE of Saint Thomas (late Fred "Sparky" LUSCOMBE) and the late Marilyn ROBINSON and the late Ronald "Bud" MILLS. Dear sister of Frederick WOODLEY and step-sister of Dorothy and her husband Alan GREEN. Dear mother-in-law of Melvin ROBINSON and Louise MILLS. Sadly missed by 8 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren and 14 great-greatgrandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Gertrude was born in London, England on December 13, 1908 and came to Canada as a child. She worked as a clerk for the Township of Yarmouth over 22 years, was an avid Violet Club Member, very active in the Salvation Army and a life member. She taught Sunday School, was a leader and director of "Singing Company" for 33 years, a pianist for 20 years, leader of the Songsters (Junior Songsters) and participated in all aspects of the Salvation Army and was also active with Christmas Care. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Thursday at 11: 00 a.m. Private interment in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Elgin Manor or the Salvation Army.

VANNATTER, George William
Of Wallacetown (formerly of Port Stanley) on November 26, 2005, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, passing away in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Mary VANNATTER and lovingly remembered by his children Rebecca TAIT/TAITE/TATE, James VANNATTER, Wanda TUFF, Jason VANNATTER, Devin VANNATTER and Deanna MIZON, step-children Darlene FELDER, Darrell and Rob NOWAKOWSKI. He will be dearly missed by grandchildren Kim FRAMPTON (Tate), Jarrod TAIT/TAITE/TATE, Jordon VANNATTER, Brendan TUFF, Kyle FLINT- VANNATTER, Alexander and Amber-Jean VANNATTER, Keirhan and Ayzlynne MIZON and step-grandchildren Adreanna and Andrew FELDER. Survived by brother Bob VANNATTER and sisters Ann GAGG and Bonnie MILLS and brother of the late Philip VANNATTER and Sharon McINTYRE. Born on the 20th day of July 1938, son of the late Frances Marion and George William VANNATTER in Bayham Township. He resided for many years in Port Stanley and volunteered as a firefighter. Remarried in May of 2000 and resided in Saint Thomas for 3 years and then in Wallacetown until his death. A Memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses: on Wednesday, November 30th, 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. Visitation at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

After a year long courageous battle with cancer, Violet "Vi" Ruth NUTT (née KARN) of Warwick Street, Woodstock in her 69th year, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 with her family at her side. Beloved mother of Barry and his wife Linda of Woodstock, Brad and his wife Kim of Woodstock, Brian and his wife Shirley of Ingersoll and Byrle and his wife Cheryl of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Darryl, Duane, Derek, Daniel, Mackenzie, Michael, Jamie and Christopher and greatgrandmother of Britney. Dear sister of Louise TUFFNAIL (Jack), Robert "Bob" KARN (Betty), Jim KARN (Marilyn), Bill SEXSMITH (Patti) and Mary Jane GLASER (Peter).
Vi had been a longtime member of Oxford County Naval Veterans Association and enjoyed playing cards and dancing at area functions. Friends may call at the R.D. Beloved husband of Helen Rosemary (LAVIN) TUFT and dearly loved father of Wayne and his wife Patricia TUFT of Saint Thomas and Wendy BENNETT and her partner David SOLOMON of Woodstock. Dear brother of Leslie and his wife Florence TUFT of Petites, Newfoundland. and the late Clayton TUFT and the late Dorothy COADY. Dear brother-in-law of Betty TUFT of Newfoundland. Loved grandfather of Angela and her husband Jason KOWALCHUK of Strathroy and Jeffrey TUFT and partner Jenn of London. Greatgrandfather of Kyle, Tyler, Ashley and Britany. Sadly missed by a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Wilburn was born in Petites, Newfoundland. on November 13, 1918, the son of the late George and Hanna (COURTNEY) BENNETT. He was a retired employee of Canron and worked for several oil companies for a number of years and lived in Saint Thomas since 1947. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Past Master of the Orange Lodge and the Royal Black Preceptory. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. LINDSAY, Marjorie Hilda (formerly ANDREWS, née BREMNER)
Age 90 years of Dartmouth died peacefully September 19, 2005 at Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded with love by her family. Marjorie was a survivor of the Halifax Explosion which claimed her mother's life. She was a daughter of Rachel (HAYTER) and Harry BREMNER. She was pre-deceased by husbands, Thomas ANDREWS, Alfred LOVETT and Thomas LINDSAY. Also stepsisters Helen and Hazel and stepbrother James BREMNER. She is survived by daughters Janet BURK/BURKE, Florence (Thomas) PERKES, Mary Elizabeth (Colin) COCKBURN and Silverene (John) PETERS. Brother Donald BREMNER. She is also survived by the 11 children of Thomas LINDSAY. She is also survived by grandchildren Tony, Stephen, Denise and Peter TUFTS, Deborah and Mark CONNELLY, Laura WYNNE and Linda ALLAWAY, Tania and Roxanne ROSERE, Virginia KAASTRA, Frances FORSYTH and April PAUCH and 18 great-grandchildren. Visiting will be 2: 00-4:00 and 7: 00-9:00 Thursday in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10: 00 a.m. Friday from St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church (Windmill Road) Father Charles Burke and Father Raymond Mura con-celebrants. Loving father of Susan and John BURTON of Olivet, Michigan, Steve and Susan MOORE and Lynn and Jerry McKINNEY all of Mechinicsburg, Pennsylvania and grand_sons Dan and Jared McKINNEY. Loving stepfather of Gary and Alana McINTYRE of Guelph, Gayle and Mark RIEDL and Tracey McINTYRE all of London. Grandpa Bill lovingly remembered by Meaghan, James, Michelle, Robert, Savannah, Maya, Jordan, Adam, Marcus and Nevaeh.
