(just west of Pine Valley Drive), 905-851-9100, from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. on Thursday. Service will be held in the funeral home
chapel at 2 p.m. on Friday. Interment York Cemetery. In lieu

Peacefully at home in Toronto on March 25, 2005, in his 64th
year. Cherished husband of Mary Lou; loved father of Blaine and
his wife JoAnne, Bryce and his fiancée Helena; proud grandfather
of Lauren, dear
son of Kay and the late Tommy
TIGERT, brother
of Kent. Lance was a gentleman who deeply loved his family and
was very proud of them. He enjoyed a long and successful career
in the mining industry with Noranda and as a member of several
Boards of Directors. This allowed him to pursue his love for
travel, taking him to South America, Africa, Australia and South
East Asia. An avid golfer and tennis player, Lance enjoyed retreating
to his cottage on Lake of Bays. In his lifetime his spirit, love
of adventure and Friendship enriched all those who knew him.
The family would like to thank all who have been so wonderfully
supportive of Lance and Mary Lou during this difficult journey.
The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home
- A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue
East), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30. A service
will be held at Lawrence Park Community Church, 2180 Bayview
Avenue at 2 o'clock on Thursday, March 31. A reception will follow
at the Granite Club. If desired, donations in memory of Lance
may be made to Sunnybrook and Women's Foundation, Brain Tumour
Research, 2075 Bayview Avenue, M4N 3M5.
