After a lengthy illness on Tuesday, January 11, 2005. Beloved husband of Irma. Loving father of Arvids and his wife Beatrise. Dear Vectevs to Elizabete, Laura and Martins. Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Drive), 905-851-9100, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. on Friday. Interment York Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Andrew's Lutheran Latvian Church would be appreciated by the family.

TIGERT, Lance Stuart, P.Eng., M.B.A., C.F.A.
Peacefully at home in Toronto on March 25, 2005, in his 64th year. Cherished husband of Mary Lou; loved father of Blaine and his wife JoAnne, Bryce and his fiancée Helena; proud grandfather of Lauren, dear son of Kay and the late Tommy TIGERT, brother of Kent. Lance was a gentleman who deeply loved his family and was very proud of them. He enjoyed a long and successful career in the mining industry with Noranda and as a member of several Boards of Directors. This allowed him to pursue his love for travel, taking him to South America, Africa, Australia and South East Asia. An avid golfer and tennis player, Lance enjoyed retreating to his cottage on Lake of Bays. In his lifetime his spirit, love of adventure and Friendship enriched all those who knew him. The family would like to thank all who have been so wonderfully supportive of Lance and Mary Lou during this difficult journey. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30. A service will be held at Lawrence Park Community Church, 2180 Bayview Avenue at 2 o'clock on Thursday, March 31. A reception will follow at the Granite Club. If desired, donations in memory of Lance may be made to Sunnybrook and Women's Foundation, Brain Tumour Research, 2075 Bayview Avenue, M4N 3M5.

Passed away at Headwaters Hospital, Orangeville on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the age of 81. Predeceased by her husband John F. (Mike) TIGH. Dear sister of Ainslie WYSE of Toronto and Eleanor ANDERSON of England. Predeceased by her brothers Gerald and Peter ESLING. She will be fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and Friends. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter "Butler" Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street, W. Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Aves) from 7-9 p.m. Monday. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 3 p.m. Cremation.

(Graduate Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing, 1938) Passed away peacefully at the McCall Centre on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 in her 90th year. Bernice SCOTT (née TEMPLE) beloved wife of the late Howard James SCOTT. Survived by her sisters Mary HERSOM and Elsie RIVA and sisters-in-law Margaret GREER/GRIER and Joyce TIGHE and her 16 Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Jean ADAMSON and Margaret STECKENREITER and her Nephew Gordon STECKENREITER. She will be sadly missed by her many Friends. She was a member of Streetsville United Church and enjoyed working on projects with the United Church Women Friends are invited to a Memorial Service in her honour to be held at Streetsville United Church, 274 Queen Street South, Streetsville on Monday, June 6th, 2005 at 2: 30 p.m. (visitation 1 hour prior). Loving mother of Dawn (Queenie) BADLEY, Charles (Chuck) TOMLINSON and Lorelei (Lori) TOMLINSON. Predeceased by her son John Ernest TOMLINSON (1983.) Grandmother to Marvene, and great-grandmother to Ashley and Mathew. Sister of Andrew and Edith TOVEY, Theresa and Charles TIGHE, Helen and James McDEVITT and sisters-in-law Joan TOVEY and Joyce TOVEY. Predeceased by her parents Thomas TOVEY (1955) and Irene CLOSS (1971,) and siblings Mary STEAD (1982,) John TOVEY (1983) and Daniel TOVEY (1982.)
