Joseph and Joseph J. Sister Josephine Marie was born on April
15, 1912, in Sandwich, Ontario, near Windsor's Ambassador bridge.
Growing up so near the Detroit River gave her an early interest
and a strong ability to swim. Many of her Sisters in Community
will fondly recall her presence as lifeguard and swimming coach
at our cottage, in our pool and more recently, pool side. Her
life of ministry led her to various places in South-western Ontario.
Sister ministered to others throughout her life in many of our
Congregational ministries including work with orphans, the aged
and refugees in London. Sister's loving and joyful spirit enabled
her to be a dedicated homemaker in our convent homes in Langton,
West Lorne, Woodstock and Belle River. Her skills and ability
to be flexible helped her to create a home and extend hospitality
to others. Sister also worked for many years in laundry services
at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chatham. Sister Josephine Marie's
life's work was very much dedicated to caring for others by lovingly
doing the simple everyday things well. Resting at Mount St. Joseph
