WILKINSON,
Mary
Elizabeth (née
MUIR)
Passed away on October 27th, 2005 at the age of 93, at Lakeview
Manor, Beaverton, Ontario. The first of four children born to
Rutherford and Ethel
MUIR,
Mary spent her childhood in Saint
John, New Brunswick. In her teens, she left the East Coast for
the excitement of Toronto. With spunk and a kind heart, Mary
created lasting Friendships and, in her twenties, she met and
married Albert
WILKINSON.
Mary was a dedicated wife and the proud
mother of two boys, Robert "Bob" and Jack. A "Modern" career
woman, she balanced the demands of raising her children while
working two jobs to support her family, including chocolate-making
at Laura Secord. With a fondness for sweets, chocolate not withstanding,
there was never a short supply of cookies or squares in the house.
In the family-built cottage on Wagner's Lake, she started the
tradition of hosting roast beef dinner every Sunday for her sons,
and their families. In her retirement Mary dedicated much of
her time to being a Jehovah's Witness; she appreciated and enjoyed
the Friendships she made in the religion. Later on she moved
the Pefferlaw in order to be closer to her sons. Mary cast a
brilliant light not only on her family but on all those who were
lucky enough to know her. Someone that special will never be
forgotten. Her memory will always shine on. Mary was predeceased
by her husband, Albert
WILKINSON.
She is survived by her family,
including her sons Bob (Leslie) of Port Perry and Jack (Faye)
of Wilfrid; her grandchildren Scott (Elaine), Rob (Alisha), Lisa,
Carrie, Janet (Kelvin) and Mike; her great-grandchildren Leigh,
Makayla, Riley, Aiden, Elizabeth, Paul and Jamie. Mary will also
be dearly missed by her East Coast relatives, as well as her
life-long Friends Stan and Lorraine

Mary will be laid
to rest in Hart Cemetery in Wilfrid, Ontario, during a private
service on November 7th, 2005.
