On Saturday, September 24, 2005 at Baycrest Hospital. Beloved husband of Lucy, and the late Sylvia WEINSTEIN. Loving father and father-in-law of Miriam ADAM/ADAMS, Susan Weinstein GOLD and Brian GOLD, Linda and Kenny COLMAN, Lawrence and Debbie CHERNIAK, Lloyd and Jill CHERNIAK, Leon CHERNIAK, and the late Lawrence ADAM/ADAMS. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Arlene WEINSTEIN of New York State and Malca and Jay MARIN. Predeceased by his siblings Maurice WEINSTEIN, Elsie PIFKO, Leon WEINSTEIN, Vera RASMINSKY, and William WEINSTEIN. Devoted grandfather of Rachel SIRA, Cara Lauren, Michael, David and Lisa, Sara and Rick, Symee and Dov, Jason, Harry, Bill, Dmitri, Ali, Nicola, and Sam and the late Michael Jay CHERNIAK. Devoted great-grandfather of Moishe Chaim, Arieh, Chani, Malka, and Logan. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue W., (three lights west of Dufferin) for service on Monday, September 26th at 1: 30 p.m. Interment Holy Blossom Memorial Park. SHEEHAN, Daniel Alan (January 14, 1972-July 13, 2005)
Peacefully at his home, at age 33, after a long battle courageously fought. Survived by his beloved wife and dearest friend Heather (AITKEN,) his parents Gerard and Patricia (SIRDEVAN,) sister Peggy and her husband Mark BUERSCHAPER and brother Matthew. Mourned by his many relatives in the Sheehan, Fitzpatrick and Sirdevan families and all the Aitken clan. He also leaves many good Friends from school, sports and work. Family will receive Friends at the McDougall and Brown Funeral Home (2900 Kingston Road, Toronto) 416-267-4656 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (200 Morrish Road, Highland Creek) at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2005. Interment: Christ the King Cemetery. (Retired from Loblaws) Taken suddenly due to a stroke, at Scarborough Grace Hospital on Thursday, March 10, 2005 with her family by her side. Ellen WALKER of Cookstown, in her 70th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) WALKER. Cherished mother of Darren (Ingrid) SCHULTE, Barbara BORDA, and Mirjam (Lou) SIRIANNI. Oma of Krista, Michael, Thomas, Adam, Alexandra, David, Stefan and Lukas. Survived by her sister Eda. Predeceased by her grand_son Holger, her parents Franz and Hildegard MEURER and her sister Edith and brother Bernd. Ellen immigrated to Canada with her children from Germany in 1971. She instilled in all of us her courage and strength of conviction. Friends may call at Saint John's Anglican Church, Cookstown on Tuesday, March 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. Service in the church at 3 p.m. Spring interment Saint John's Anglican Cemetery, Cookstown. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of a dear and loving husband, father, nonno, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, on Saturday, April 16, 2005 in his 80th year, at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, Ontario. Frank was a devoted and beloved husband of Ida (née AQUINO) for 57 years. Loving father of daughter Rose, son Joe and daughter-in-law Lorna, and daughter Marie and son-in-law Nick. Proud and cherished nonno of Julie, Jason, Paul, Ashley, and Danielle. Predeceased by father Giuseppe and mother Rosina (née DE MARIA.) Loving brother of Teresa and brother-in-law, the late Eugenio SIRIANNI. Brother-in-law of Carmelina and the late Domenico CLAUSI, Mariannina and Frank BIAFORE, Adele AQUINO, Emilia and Felice PUPO, the late Rosaria and Aldo PUPO, Giovanni and Maria AQUINO, Vincenzo and Carmela AQUINO, Virginia and Vittorio SCAGLIONE, Biagio and Anna AQUINO. Sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and Friends. Antonietta went to be with the Lord on July 6th, 2005 at the York Central Hospital; and will be re-united with her dearly departed husband Stefano. She will be cherished by her dear children Antonio (Luciana,) Emilio (Adolorata,) Concetta (Giuseppe SCALZULLO,) Mary (Tony TUCCI), Gerardo (Shari), and Lucia (Saverio SIRIANNI). Proud grandmother of Antonietta, Stefania, Antonietta, Pina, Stefano, Tony, Domenica, Kristofer, Matthew, Anna Lisa, Laura-Dianna, and Sammy Jr. She will be held dear in the hearts of her four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and many Friends. Peter William Frederick BERENDSEN died peacefully after his battle with cancer, at Parkwood Hospital, on Sunday, January 16, 2005, at the age of 71. He was born in The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1953. Dear father of Patricia Vanderheyden (nee BERENDSEN) and Marilyn ELLIS, John and Arlene BERENDSEN, Paul BERENDSEN and Tanya SCHEERER. Loved grandfather of Michelle (Kyle CORNELIUS,) Sarah, Hannah and Joel VANDERHEYDEN and Scott and Benjamin BERENDSEN. Also remembered by Toni. Brother of Tony (Anne) BERENDSEN, Joanne (Arnold) SIROEN, John (Mien) BERENDSEN, Anne (Peter) DE BROUWER, Trudy DE VRIES, Wilma (Joe) VAN RYSWYCK and his brother-in-law Peter KLOMP. "Grandma Jessie" to Matthew SMITH, Laurie-Anne SIROIS, Patrick ROPPEL, Christopher ROPPEL, Mark ROPPEL, Jon JAYNES, Jennifer MIDDLEKAMP and Ryan Roppel GUY. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Ruby ROPPEL and a daughter-in-law, Ann GUY. Mrs. ROPPEL is predeceased by her son, Donald George ROPPEL, by granddaughter, Mary Ann ROPPEL and by her brother, Harry. Friends may call at the W. Faithfully employed for 35 years with Goodyear Tire. She will be greatly missed by her many Friends. At home in Stratford on Sunday, July 17, 2005, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Dr. Norvel (Pinky) SCRATCH. Loving mother of John SCRATCH and wife Carol and Cindy SCRATCH. Cherished Granny of Jonathan and Catherine. Predeceased by her parents John and Phila VOKES, her brother Fred (Maude) and sisters Ethel (Homer) and Ina. Fondly remembered by her nephew John SCRATCH, nieces Jane VERNER and Janet SIRRS and their families. Ruth graduated from the University of Western Ontario in medicine January of 1943. Her many interests included gardening, gourmet cooking, travelling, bridge, knitting and needle point, curling and many church activities.
Ruth's deep affection for others was shown, not only in loving care toward her family, but also for Friends.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Ruth SCRATCH will be held at St. James Anglican Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. The Venerable John SPENCER will officiate.
