taught at a school in Greenbush, Alberta before enlisting in
the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942. In 1944 his Halifax bomber
was shot down near Berlin. He was a prisoner of war for 18 months
in Stalag Luft III, at the time of "The Great Escape". In 1949
he graduated with distinction from University of Alberta with
a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. He retired as Vice President
of Manufacturing with

Ltd.▼ of Stoney Creek, Ontario in
1985, after which he and Anna moved to London, Ontario. Al was
an avid golfer, curler and gardener right to the end but, above
all, his family was his life. We will miss him. We are celebrating
his life with a private family closure. Donations may be mae
to Al's favourite charities, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
and the Cardiac Fitness Institute of London Ontario. Please contact
