BLACKMAN, Harold Lionel
Mr. Harold Lionel BLACKMAN, age 69, of Mowat Street, Stratford, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Stratford General Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2005. Born is Saint Marys, son of the late Edward BLACKMAN and the former Winnifred TAILOR/TAYLOR. Harold worked at Saint Marys Cement for 35 years retiring in 1991. Beloved husband of Sandy (HOWLETT) BLACKMAN whom he married June 16, 1979, in Stratford. Loving father of Paul BLACKMAN and friend Jeff SICH of London, Kristi LINDSAY and Dave of Wellburn, Cindy LAING and husband Todd and Wayne DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS and wife Nicolla both of Stratford. Cherished grandfather of Luc and Travis IREDALE, Jamie, Scott, Jeremy and Jackie LAING, Ken LINDSAY, Lauren and Reece DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS and great grandfather of Cierra IREDALE. Also survived by his sisters Helen and husband Jack FREEMANTLE, Edith SCHEUERMANN and Alice and husband Mel FOWLER. He was predeceased by a brother Fred BLACKMAN and a sister-in-law Caroline BLACKMAN. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Peacefully, at Kensington Village on Saturday, November 26th, 2005, George Henry CADOGAN of London in his 78th year. Beloved father of Margaret (Tony) SICILIA, Georgina (Mark) CADOGAN, all of Toronto, Cliff (Lee) and Darrell all of London, and their late mother Viola. Loving grandfather of Jason and Jamie. Dear brother of Beatrice, Reynold (Jean), David, Robert (Audrey) and Evelyn (Peter). Also survived by best Friends Heinz and Christine NAGEL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and Friends. The memorial service will be conducted at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Wednesday, November 30th, 2005 at 4: 30 p.m. with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Cremation has taken place with interment of ashes at a later date. Died peacefully in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 in his 75th year. Franco, beloved husband of 49 years to Teresa (née SICILIA.) He will be sadly missed by his children, Eligio (Andrea PORTER,) Maria DOMINELLI (the late Cosmo,) Dino (Elaine), Lino, Carlo, and Patrizia DI PIETRO (Mario). Cherished 'Nonno' of Stephanie and Nicholas GAUDIO, Emma and Eamon GAUDIO, and Ethan DI PIETRO. Franco, son of the late Sante and Maria GAUDIO, leaves behind his siblings Pasquale, Lina (deceased,) Egidio and Lucia in Italy. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and dry sense of humour by his family, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at The Marshall Funeral Home 10366 Yonge St. Richmond Hill (4th traffic light north of Major Mackenzie Dr.) on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mary Immaculate Church 10295 Yonge St. on Thursday 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Of Elmwood, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, on Monday, May 2nd, 2005. He was 68. Survived by his wife Shirley (SICKEL) GONDER; daughters, Pat (John) BRUNNER of Elmwood, Bonnie (Mike) HUFFMAN of Hanover, Penny (Sam) HUETTLIN of Chesley; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Lloyd (Doris) of Huntsville, Bob (Chloe) of Hepworth, Murray (Udell) of Owen Sound, John (Jeff) of Owen Sound; sister Shirley TRACEY of Elliott Lake. Predeceased by his twin brother Doug and brother Jim. Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday 2: 00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 5th, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m., at Saint John's Lutheran Church, Elmwood. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Merle (SANSOM) BROWN and his 3 children, Pat BROWN and his wife Valerie of St. Joseph Island, Stephen BROWN of Brampton and Cathy BROWN- SWANTON and her husband Robin of London. Dear brother of Murray M. BROWN of Pickering. Predeceased by his sister Inez and his brothers Forest, Charles, Douglas and Glen. Dear brother-in-law of Madeline BROWN, Elsie VAN SICKLE and Ted BOYD. Loving mother of Carolyn and Mike BROUMPTON of Mooretown, Kevin SMITH of Port Huron, and Brenda and Rob FLOOD of Owen Sound. Loved grandmother to six grandchildren and one great grandchild. PAWLIUK, Alec (July 31, 1920-December 16, 2005) P.Eng.
This was a man. Friend, love, rock, husband for 58 years of Anna (MORHAL.) Father of Alana May (died three years ago.) "Dad" to Chris (Vince VAN SICKLE) of London, Ontario, Sasha (Gerry BRADLEY) of Port Moody, British Columbia and Nikki of Lachine, Quebec. "Boppie" to Megan VAN SICKLE and Kelly PAWLIUK- CODERRE. Survived by sister Nancy WOWK (Stanley) of Edmonton, Alberta aad many nieces and nephews out west. Al was born in Ispas, Alberta. He taught at a school in Greenbush, Alberta before enlisting in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942. In 1944 his Halifax bomber was shot down near Berlin. He was a prisoner of war for 18 months in Stalag Luft III, at the time of "The Great Escape". In 1949 he graduated with distinction from University of Alberta with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. He retired as Vice President of Manufacturing with WABCO Ltd. of Stoney Creek, Ontario in 1985, after which he and Anna moved to London, Ontario. Al was an avid golfer, curler and gardener right to the end but, above all, his family was his life. We will miss him. We are celebrating his life with a private family closure. Donations may be mae to Al's favourite charities, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Cardiac Fitness Institute of London Ontario. 85 years, of Manitouwadge and Kitchener, passed away peacefully, Sunday afternoon, November 13th, 2005. Predeceased by husband Lorne. Loving mother of Margo (Les) BROOKS- HENDERSON, Lorna (Wally) BROWN and Rob (Gail) BROOKS. Eileen was a special grandmother of Jess and Lily BROOKS, Tim and Chrissy BROWN. She will be sadly missed by many dear Friends and relatives, especially her brother Alan (Melba) DAVIE and sister-in-law Audrey VAN SICKLE. Aunt Eileen always held a special place in the lives of many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the caring staff at the Elizabeth Centre who gave Eileen extraordinary attention and their smiles. Thank you also to the medical staff at St. Joseph Health Centre, especially the palliative care team, who helped with her peaceful release. Memorial Service in the R.J.
