Died peacefully on February 14, 2005 in his 91st year at Nanaimo, British Columbia. Beloved husband of Margaret (née ESDALE) for more than 65 years, loving father of Lynne (Wilson SMART,) Diane (William CORNISH) and David (Kerry EVANS,) wonderful grandfather of David, Sharon (Joe KEWEKORDES,) Malcolm (Julie SIBBALD,) Hilary, Melissa and Steven: special greatgrandfather of Michael. He was predeceased by his parents, David and Beatrice ROBERTSON, his brothers Kenneth and Stewart and his grand_son David. Remembered with love and affection all his family and Friends. Doug had a distinguished military career, serving on Winston Churchill's staff, fighting through the Northern Campaign in Holland, commanding the Calgary Highlanders at the end of World War 2, and serving on the International Joint Commission in Viet Nam in 1963. In his retirement years, he served three successive terms as Alderman of Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. Funeral services will be held at St. Stephen's United Church, Qualicum Beach, British Columbia at 11: 00 a.m. Friday February 18, 2005. On Friday, November 11, 2005 a truly caring, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Joan McRAE of Sebright, Ontario passed away suddenly in a fatal car crash. She was a strong woman persevering through some difficult times in her life, but was always there with open arms and love for all of us, always thinking of her family first. HEATH, Howard Edgar Wesley
Passed away peacefully into the hands of the Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, after a short illness, in his 101st year. Howard was born in Ethel, Ontario on September 17, 1904, the son of the late Wesley and Lavina (ZURBRIGG) HEATH of Listowel. Howard was a barber all his life. He came to Saint Thomas in 1929 working in partnership with Earl COOK until the war. In 1940 he went to the Air Force Technical Training School which had taken over the Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital building and operated the Barber Shop there for 6 and a half years. After the war he operated his own barber shop on Ross St. for 27 years, retiring after 40 years in 1972. He was a life member of Talbot Lodge #546 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons receiving his 50 year jewel in 1992. He was Past Patron of Central Star Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #57. He was a member of Grace United Church for over 70 years and an elder over 30 years, serving on various boards and committees.
Survived by his loving wife Beth HEATH (POOLE) (BEAL) and predeceased by his 1st wife Eva (ANDERSON) HEATH. Beloved stepfather of Sandra SIBBLEY and Jim and his wife Cathy BEAL, all of Saint Thomas. Loved brother of Helen GUNN of Milverton. Predeceased by 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Special uncle to Betty (Jack) SOUTHEN of Ilderton, Darrell (Marjorie) DENNIS of Saint Thomas, Harry (Conney) JOHNSON of Sarnia, Allen (Shirley) JOHNSON of Strathroy and Joanne (John) MAGDA of Windsor and numerous other nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in South Park Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to Branch 41 of the Royal Canadian Legion or the Sunshine Foundation.

Peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Harry for 55 years. Dear mother of Bill and his wife Sylvia of Calgary and Bob and his wife Terri of Stratford. Sadly missed by granddaughters Kate and Laura SPARLING of London and Emily and Ellen SPARLING of Stratford as well as several nieces. Anne was predeceased by parents Bill and Gertie MELBOURNE, brothers Ross and Carl MELBOURNE and sister Joan LACKIMIA. Many thanks to Doctors AITKEN and WILLIAMS, the team of London Regional Cancer Clinic, staff of Palliative Care, Perth Community Care Access Centre, Spruce Lodge, pastoral care from Reverend Dr. Hugh JONES, Kelly SIBTHORPE of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Reverend Cheryl-Ann STADELBAUER- SAMPA of Central United Church and the community of Hamlet Estates for their care of Anne, Harry and family during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Anne's life will be conducted at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, October 8 at 2 p.m, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
