Died peacefully in his sleep on January 16th, 2005. Merle WILLETT, in his 72nd year, was the beloved son of parents predeceased, Margerie (née McWHIRTER) and James WILLETT. The beloved dad of Barbara-Ann and her husband James WEBER of Edmonton, Alberta, Gary and his wife Christine of Mississauga, Ronnie and his wife Sue BEIERLING and Donny, of Calgary, Alberta. FARQUHARSON, Neil Donald
Passed away in Saskatoon, on Monday, May 9, 2005, aged 93. Neil was born and grew up in Fort Qu'Appelle, teaching in several schools in Saskatchewan prior to his service in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 2. He graduated from Queen's University in 1951, receiving an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree. He moved to Montreal and taught high school English and History for the Protestant Central School Board. Neil was predeceased by his wife, Annetta KYLE of Winnipeg in 1972 and four older brothers, Alex, Thomas, William and Eric. After Neil's retirement in 1973, he returned to the Qu'Appelle Valley and lived there until he moved to Saskatoon in 2000. He will be sadly missed by his niece, Barbara, and Bill CONNERY of Saskatoon and their family, James, Darcy, Jenna and Ryan CONNERY, Rhonda and Robb BROCKMAN, Carla, Chad, Bailey and Aidan SAWATZKY, Candace, Rob, Laurie and Matthew MITCHELL, and by his nephew, Tom, and Sarah FARQUHARSON of Toronto, and his family, Barbara FARQUHARSON, Robert and Spencer DRINNAN, and Scott, Bess and Christopher FARQUHARSON. He will also be missed by his brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Marjory KYLE of Toronto. SWIST, Daniel J. passed away on January 13, 2005 in Henderson, Nevada. Daniel was born on August 19, 1919 in Manchester, New Hampshire to the late Emilia and Jacob SWIST. He graduated the University of Alabama where he earned a B. S. degree in Business Administration and Accounting. His entire Business School senior class enlisted in the military after Pearl Harbor and he served in the combat infantry in France, Germany and Holland, receiving several commendations. Later, he graduated from the Boston University Law School and began a career in government. He worked in Washington, D.C. for the State Department, the Department of Labor and the Treasury Department's Internal Revenue Service. Daniel married the love of his life, Wilda Ethel GALLOWAY on November 27, 1963. In 1976, he and Wilda retired to Clearwater, Florida and later moved to Phoenix, Arizona. His beloved wife Wilda died on September 1, 1998 and the light went out of his life. He is also predeceased by his sister, Wanda PIEKOS. He is survived by a host of nieces: Sonia-Kay KEIRSTEAD of Tallahassee, Florida; Janie M. RAY of Lowell, Massachusetts; Sheila HATT, Helen SAWCHUK, Edith GALLOWAY, Virginia WYLDE, Wilda MARDLIN, June EDWARDS, Mary Lou DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS, Cathy GALLOWAY, and Dr. Susan Burgess NESBITT, all of Canada, and two nephews also of Canada, Charles BURGESS and Thomas GALLOWAY. A military and memorial service will take place for both Daniel and Wilda SWIST at the National Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona on March 10, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m.

Died on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the North York General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. At his side were his wife of 42 years and best friend, Vera, and children Ross (Dawn), Alexa, Liana, and Vanessa. He will be missed by his brother Edward (Judy,) sister-in-law Sonia WALKER (Ted,) cousins Anne CHORNY (Steve,) Olya SAWCZAK (Walter,) nieces and nephews Michael and Catherine (Danny) STORONIAK, Bradley (Stacey) and Jonathan (Sharon) WALKER, Michael and Alex CHORNY, Yuliana SAWCZAK and many, many Friends, neighbours and clients. Andy was born in Sudbury, Ontario, attended Sudbury High School and Queen's University, graduating with a B.Sc. degree in mining geology engineering, and later qualified for P.Eng. status. He specialized in gold and mining explorations. His work took him to Northern Ontario, Quebec, Eastern Canada, British Columbia, New Mexico and parts of the U.S. Prior to this, he worked as a research analyst in several firms on Bay Street for a number of years. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing in his earlier life, gardening and landscaping recently. He was a trusting, generous, reliable friend to his family, his many Friends and clients. Visitation on Sunday, April 3, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, April 4 from 10-11 a.m. at the York Visitation, Chapel and Reception Centre, 160 Beecroft Road (N.W. of Yonge and Sheppard; 416-221-3404). Funeral Service will take place on Monday at 11 a.m. in the cemetery chapel with interment to follow. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of the North York General Hospital, fondly referred to by Andy as his "angels". Terry died peacefully at home, with his wife Leanne at his side, after a very brief illness. Originally born in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec, Terry lived fo 30 years as a Mississauga resident. Today he celebrates a loving return to past dear ones waiting for him - grandmother Snyder, mother Cora, and father Thomas. Terrence is survived by his wife, Leanne (née SHARP,) his daughters Adrienne and Laura, his beloved sister Shirley and her husband Ian SMITH, and their five children and ten grandchildren. Terrence - a good man - nothing more, nothing less - loved learning and teaching. As a former Vice President of Montreal Engineering, Terry worked on corporate projects such as Ontario Hydro and Churchill Falls, and later, as an independent consultant, with the clients of Johnson-Diversey and others. He continued with his consulting until recently. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason of the Moore Sovereign. Terry's personal passion was building and flying model airplanes at the Oakville and Brampton Flying Clubs and tinkering in his workshop. Terrence will be cremated and have a Memorial Service at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line (at Dundas). For service time please contact 905-257-8822. Special appreciation to Kamila SAWEZ of Spectrum Nursing, a pure gift of strength and pitbull focus; Dr. Douglas MAH, for his care and appreciation of Terry as the most challenging character in his practice; and Hospice of Peel (Debbie, Evelyn and Marc - like old Friends.) Thank you to Father Jon BROMLEY of St. Edwards parish, Sister Margaret (ret'd,) Mary MacKINNON, Carol MONDESIR and Michael WHITE/WHYTE for their spiritual guidance; and a true friend in every sense - Peter WLOKA - who was always there without being asked. Through all the Friends that gave their support and care so generously and freely, Terry came to truly believe and know that he was well loved and had touched many lives. Terrence had a child-like curiousity; an inquisitive mind, a quick wit, a generous heart and a loving Trust and Faith in God. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in unconditional Peace, Joy and Love.

Phillipians 3; 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize which God has called me Heavenward in Jesus Christ. It is with great sadness that Stephen Andrew GILLESPIE and his mother Roberta Anne (ROBERTSON) announce the death of Stephen's beloved father and best friend in his 60th year after a brave and courageous battle with cancer, heart disease and diabetes on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital.
Stuart was born December 9, 1945, in Pt. Colborne, Ontario. The Youngest of 9 children born to John and Janet GILLESPIE of Pt. Colborne, who have predeceased him, and had earlier emigrated from Scotland. Stuart had attended Pt. Colborne high school, following that he was employed at Robin Hood Oats plant in Pt. Colborne. In 1969 he moved to Saint Thomas where he was employed at the Ford Motor Company in Talbotville for 23 years. Due to ill health he was forced to take an early retirement. Stuart enjoyed photography and enjoyed playing horseshoes in Pinafore Park with his Friends.
Stuart is survived by his son Stephen and Stephen's mother Roberta, and by his mother and father-in-law Bob and Mary ROBERTSON all of Saint Thomas, and by brothers Hugh (Irene) of Calgary, Jim (Naomi) of British Columbia, Doug (Mary Ellen) of San Diego, Bobby of Pt. Colborne and sister Irene (Larry) MATTHEWS of Indo, California. Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Stuart was predeceased by brothers Jack (Rita), Alex and his wife Enid all of Pt. Colborne and sister Donna (Edward SAWKA) of British Columbia. Visitation at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and then to Holy Angels Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. on Friday morning. In 1941, Walter joined his father Stanley at Stanley Auto Body. She is survived by her husband, Les and her son, David in Toronto her daughter Barbara BROMM in Craven, Saskatchewan; her sister Frances GREGORY in Liverpool, Nova Scotia; her grand_sons David, Michael and Bradley; her granddaughters, Jennifer and Andrea, and her great-granddaughter, Isabelle who was one year old May 16, 2005. The cycle of life continues. Nita will be buried with her first husband, Russell, in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia. Her nephew, Rev. D. HERGETT, of Wolfville will perform the service. David PRINCE 65, left us peacefully, surrounded by love on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Originally of Winnipeg, Manitoba, he was a loving partner, kindred spirit, and devoted companion to Bernice SAWYER. Father to Kenny and Michelle, proud Grandfather of Kirsten and Danielle, and Great-Grandfather to Ariana. son of Nellie PRINCE, brother to Loretta, Geraldine, and Dennis. Pre-deceased by his father, Cecil PRINCE and brother, Bobby. Lovingly remembered by his extended family Danielle GODIN, John and Carol GODIN and Family, and Penelope MARKOU. David retired in 1992 from Canada Post after 32 years of service. He was a faithful former member of the Kinsmen Club in Manitoba. An avid golfer, David's sense of humour will be sorely missed. Alice was also gifted at playing piano, organ and accordion by ear. During World War 2 she pastored a three-point charge in the Maritimes. All this prepared her for years of sharing the gospel with her husband in India, Singapore, Manila, and New York. Visitation will be held at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding south of Steeles on Monday, December 19, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at 11: 00 a.m followed by reception and committal.
