SAS, Dr. George Robert
With great sadness, the family of Dr. George Robert SAS wish to announce his death on April 21, 2005. He was with his wife Louise and his children Leora, Jonathan, Emily and Robin. He struggled for 2½ years with a malignant brain tumor. George came to London from Montreal in 1975. George received his medical degree from McGill University and was a family doctor for 25 years. He was an Occupational Health Physician for St. Joseph's Hospital, 3M Canada and Kelloggs, as well as many other organizations. George was a wonderful husband and father, a true friend as well as a caring physician to his patients. His family mourns his loss with great sadness.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years and his adoring children Leora, Jonathan, Emily and Robin. He is also survived by his mother Elizabeth SAS from Montreal, his sister Magda BENEDEK and her husband Peter from Ottawa and his nephews Joey and Michael BENEDEK. The family wish to thank Dr. Catherine WALSH for her support and care, the nursing staff at Parkwood Palliative Unit, Paramed Homecare nurses, Anita STENNING and Kelly FAULDS. Funeral services at Or Shalom Synagogue on April 22 at 3 p.m. Interment to follow at Or Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Brain Tumor Foundation or charity of your choice. Logan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ann LESCHYSHYN, a founding member of Saint Mary's Church and a longtime member of the Ukrainian Women's League in Mississauga and Toronto. Dearly beloved wife of Michael HAWRYLKO, sister of Kay SAS and John LESCHYSHYN and families. Fondly remembered by family and Friends in Winnipeg, Paplerfield, Toronto and Mississauga. Resting at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2104 Kipling Ave., Etobicoke (two blocks north of Rexdale Blvd.) Panakhyda Monday 7 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, leaving the funeral home 10 a.m. for Divine Liturgy from Saint Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3625 Cawthra Rd., Mississauga, at 10: 30 a.m. Interment Saint John's Dixie Cemetery. (The family will receive their Friends in the funeral home from Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.)

Suddenly, on October 15, 2005, in her 89th year, with her family by her side. Dear mother of Joy and her husband Chris HEMSWORTH, June and her husband Larry SASAKI, Laurie and her husband Grant HEICHERT, and Jim WOOLLER and his wife Marta DONNELLY. Dear Grandma of Robyn and her husband Kenny STEWARD/STEWART/STUART, and great-grandma to Brendan. Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and Friends. Lorraine was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by her first husband James WOOLLER and her second husband George BOYNTON. Friends may call at O'Neill Funeral Home, 6324 Main Street, Stouffville (905-642-2855), on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the Chapel Wednesday at 1: 30 p.m. Interment Highland Memory Gardens. Lorraine was known for her bright and sunny smile and was a very gentle lady, well loved by those who knew her.

Maria TOROK, written by Maria TOROK, alias Marie SASKO passed away at Parkwood Hospital on Sunday, January 23rd, 2005.
"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same"
Maria's fountain of life were her precious children Anne-Marie, Leslie and Susan, their loved ones and grand_sons Adrian and Anthony as well as extended family both in Canada and Hungary. Maria's life was filled with the spiritual program and fellowship which she was a member since 1981. Since 1986 very dear and special to her were the people at Forward House of London. Throughout the years she enjoyed many hours with the people at cards, lawnbowling, as well as an all-around bonding with the people in her building. All these people and more gave a life filled with love. Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 89 Charles Street, London on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 10 a.m. with Father D.
