Mrs. Jean M. ISAAC (née SANDS) of Walpole Island, in her 79th year, passed away at Sarnia General Hospital early Wednesday morning on April 13, 2005. Beloved wife of Donald ISAAC. Dear mother of Roy and Janice ISAAC, Pam and Pat FULTON, Shelly ISAAC, Buffy and Dale SANDS, Donna and Lloyd DAY Jr., and Kyle and Cindy ISAAC. Loving grandmother of Kyla, Raquel, Chris and Kelly ISAAC, Courtland, Pete, Joe and Jennifer. Great grandmother of Donika, Marquez, Kailey, Kaitlyn, Connor, Treton, Samantha, Andrew, Brittany, Taylor and Mikayla. Kind sister of Cassie NASH, Fredrick SANDS, Emerson SANDS, Evelyn WHITEYE and Maurice SANDS Sr. Jean was also an aunt and great aunt to 400 plus. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Amelia SANDS. Funeral services for the late Jean ISAAC were held at the Walpole Island Sport Complex on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at 1 p.m. with Lavern JACOBS, Officiant. Pall bearers were Courtland R.L. DAY, Steven WILLIAMS, Jim SANDS, Bill SANDS Jr., Darcy JACOBS and Ian JACOBS. Honourary pall bearers were Edison ISAAC, Ivan PINNANCE, Zack RILEY, Faron WHITEYE, Nicholas MASLONKA and Mitchell DAY. Interment was in Highbanks Cemetery, Walpole Island. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd., 639 Elgin Street, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Diabetes Association may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Jean M. ISAAC.

Dear mother of Linda (Ron) HONYUST of R.R.#2 Southwold, Wendy ELLIOT/ELLIOTT of Burnaby, British Columbia, Heather BAAYEN of Bowmanville, and Richard Nicholas of R.R.#1 Muncey. Loving grandmother of Ashley, Kerri, Kyle, Alison, Samantha, and great-grandmother of Ashton. A private family service will be held on Saturday at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas. No public visitation. Interment in Elmdale Cemetery. At Elmwood Place Retirement Home, London on Saturday, April 2nd, 2005, Mrs. Winifred (DUTTON) POSNO of London in her 95th year. Beloved mother of Ruth HADDOW and her husband Dennis of Saint Thomas Judy FILIPPI and her late husband Ernie; Bill POSNO and his wife Mary Jane of London; and Reverend Dennis POSNO and his wife Kim of Barrie. Also loved and missed by her grandchildren Robin, David (Cindy), Jamie (Brenda), Doug (Liz) and Melanie (Steve) Mark, Tim (Sharon) and Tom; Andrea (Bob), Keri and Gwyneth; Shannon (Pat), Shawn and Denny; her greatgrandchildren Meagan, Melissa, Aimee and Rylee; Chad and Corey; Meagan, Niki and Tyler; Christine and Brittany; Dominique and Karly; Hailey and Hunter; Jake, Rachel, and Bobby; Patrick, Riley and Lucas; Cassidy and Gavyn; and her great-greatgrandchildren Aaliyah and Aiden.
Winifred was born on January 2, 1911 in Pickmere, Cheshire, England. She was the youngest of the 10 children of Frederica (RILEY) and William Henry DUTTON. The family immigrated to Canada in 1920, and Winifred grew up on a farm at Williams Settlement near Cultus in Norfolk County. Winifred went to High School in Port Rowan and Tillsonburg, where she graduated from Grade 13 with honours. She moved to Amherstburg, Ontario to live with her sister Emmie (MELOCHE) so that she could work to save enough money to attend Normal School in London. After graduating in 1930 Winifred was hired by the London School Board and taught for 8 years at Talbot Street School. In 1938 Winifred married William POSNO and together they started Posno Flower Service on Bruce Street in London, Ontario. Later, Winifred returned to teaching and her son Bill took over running the business. Winifred received her B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 1962, completing her courses at night and at summer school. She later received her M.A. in Education. Winifred taught for many years at Mountsfield and Arthur Ford Public Schools. She retired in June 1974 and began travelling extensively, going from coast to coast in Canada and to England, Europe, China and on several cruises. Winifred's family and her garden were her joy. She could recite countless poems from memory. She was an amazing woman, dearly loved and will be greatly missed. The family will receive Friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Funeral Service will be conducted at Wesley-Knox United Church, 91 Askin Street, London on Thursday, April 7th at 1: 00 p.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. Dr. John V. of Saint Thomas, on Thursday, June 16, 2005, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital in his 82nd year. Dearly loved husband of Teresa (RILEY) SILINSKY and loved father of Lynn C. and her husband Jeff RALOFF of Albuerque, New Mexico. Predeceased by a brother Alexander SILINSKY. Dr. SILINSKY was born in China on November 23, 1923, the son of the late John and Kazimira SILINSKY. He came to Saint Thomas in 1966 from Windsor and was a medical doctor at the Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. He was a member of Holy Angels Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Saturday afternoon and then to Holy Angels' Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Visitation Saturday afternoon at the funeral home from 12: 45 to 1:45 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the Holy Angels' Church Restoration Fund.

Dear father of Peter and Peg of Ridgetown, Bruce and Sharon of Seaforth and Anne and Larry KLEIN of Ayr. Loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. Also survived by sisters-in-law Jean WILBEE and Janie and her husband Frank GOLDING, all of Seaforth, and brothers-in-law Alvin RILEY of Goderich and George KING of Sault Ste. Marie. Ted is predeceased by wives Jean BUTCHER (1960) and Dorothy " Pat" RILEY (1986.) Dearly loved father of Pat NEEDHAM and her husband Ken. On Friday, March 4, 2005, after an incredibly courageous battle with advanced malignant melanoma, at the age of 48, Paul passed away with his family by his side. Paul's positive attitude and zest for life masked an intense struggle, the pain of which he kept so characteristically private. He was a marvellous and spiritual man, who never failed to place others before himself. Paul leaves behind his wife, Donna, who was the love of his life, his cherished daughter, Kristin McKIBBIN and Abby his K9 friend. Paul joins his loving mother, Lorraine RILEY (née LARSEN.) He is survived by his father Kenneth RILEY, brother John (Annette) and sister Anne. He will be deeply missed by his favourite in-laws, Don and Dolores CARNOCHAN, Ross and Mary CARNOCHAN. He was the very proud uncle and godfather of Meghan RILEY, Karl, Paul and Julia ZEBARTH, Peter and Shawn CARNOCHAN, and Krista BERGMANN. He was just getting to know his three great-grandchildren, Breanna and Rachel MALCOLMSON and Graeme John STEVENS.

For several years, she was active as an Ambassador of Tourism, where she promoted Windsor and Essex County. Great Grandmother of Julia, Miranda, Chloe, Axel, Jack, Hanna and Hunter. An enthusiastic singer who brought a bounce and energy to the Toronto Accolades, McConaghy Senior Entertainers, "Club 35" and the Marianne Nursing Home Entertainers. A wonderful, caring person who will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. In loving memory of Dorothy Medessa OLIVER (née PURDY,) who has left us to reunite with her husband Frank. She passed peacefully at home in her sleep on November 25th, 2005. Born on December 11th, 1913. Dorothy lived a long life and will be deeply missed. Mother to Carol HAWKE, Dennis and Beverley OLIVER, Doreen and Allen YOUNG, Allan and Doris OLIVER and Richard (predeceased) and Rose OLIVER. Grandmother to Debbie (Bob SARMONY) of Australia, Louise STIVER (Jim), Leslie YOUNG, Norman (Lily) YOUNG, Shane OLIVER, Robin (Melissa) OLIVER, William OLIVER (predeceased) and Meloney REMES, Nikki OLIVER and Tammie YOUNG. Great grandmother to R.J., Zachary, Rachael, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, Angelica, Noah and Tristan. "Grandma" will also be greatly missed by many Friends, extended families and children who were part of her everyday life. The family of Dorothy wish to express sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped care for and love grandma. It is always difficult when someone close to you passes away. However, having caring compassionate nurses and support workers that assisted in the care of our mom, grandmother, great grandmother pass on peacefully and help us deal with our immense grief has helped. Doreen and Allen YOUNG were her primary caregivers and would like to send a special thankyou to Linda WHEELER, our palliative care nurse, Sheila RILEY and Susan WHITE/WHYTE, Karen from The Red Cross, Liz SMITH and Susan MUIR, the services of Community Care Access Centre, and Dr. REMPEL. Cremation has taken place and interment at Greenwood Cemetery will take place in the near future when Frank and Dorothy will be together again... Side by Side... Rest in Peace (xoxoxo).
