Passed away on June 30, 2005 at the Scarborough General Hospital in her 80th year. Predeceased by her husband Ted. Marion was a 53 year member of the Catholic Women's League, a key contributor to the annual St. Pius X Parish Bazaar, an avid Bridge player, and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Friends and relatives will be received by the family at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Tuesday evening from 7-9 o'clock and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Church, 777 Valetta Street, on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Father Bob REMARK officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Marion's family would like to sincerely thank the Transplant Unit and Emergency Room staff of University Hospital for their tremendous care. Though Marion was not a transplant recipient, she was placed in the transplant Unit and received the utmost compassion. It is with great sadness the family of Nestor F. REMENDA of Regina, announces his sudden passing on December 4th, 2005 at the age of 83 years. Nestor is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ina, his daughters, Jeanne REMENDA (Ken LABORDE) of Saskatoon, Margaret COWIE (Donald) of Regina, Victoria REMENDA (Michael O'CONNOR) of Kingston, Ontario, and Susan PENROSE (John) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, seven grandchildren, Shannon, Sarah, Graeme, Jillian, Thomas, Curtis, and Claire, his sister Sonia BRENNE (Keith) and brother Lionel REMENDA (Kathy.) Nestor was well-known as a dedicated and caring teacher by thousands of Regina high school students and colleagues, by students in rural Saskatchewan and Africa, by students of the Gabriel Dumont Institute, and by students at the University of Regina. He was an enthusiastic baker of bread, golfer, curler, traveler, adventurer and musician. Nestor was a great supporter of the arts, music, his beloved city and province. Nestor also served our country in the Navy during World War 2. He was a joyful and giving person whose service to his church and greater community was of great importance to him. His life was an inspiration to his family and Friends. A celebration of his life was held on Friday, December 9th 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. at Whitmore Park United Church, 336 Durham Drive, Regina. Beloved wife of the late James Dennis COLLINS and dearly loved mother of Dennis and his wife Terry COLLINS of Saint Thomas. Loved grandmother of Jim COLLINS and his wife Dina QUIGG and Tanya and her husband Ryan RUSSELL. Loved greatgrandmother of Kieran COLLINS and Cali and Natalie RUSSELL. Predeceased by a brother Albert LEATHORN.
Susie was born in London on September 9, 1907, the daughter of the late Richard and Ida (REMER) LEATHORN. She has lived in London and Saint Thomas area all her life. Susie worked for London Life and then Robertson, Ade and Dunbar Insurance. She was a member of Holy Angel's Church, the Catholic Women's League and was former member of the Marian Society. She volunteered at the Pixie Shop at the Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital and also at Marian Villa. Resting at William Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Wednesday morning and then to Holy Angel's Church for Mass of the Christian Burial at 10: 00 a.m. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7: 00 p.m. Private family interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. O.J. was the owner/operator of Molly and OJ's Restaurant in Erieau, was formerly a commercial fisherman, member and past-president of Branch #185 Royal Canadian Legion; and had the honour of being named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, the former Molly McCOY and his beloved family: daughter Debbie, sons: Jim; Tom and wife Sandra; Dana and wife Carol, all of Erieau; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother Dick of London, England and by his parents Norman and Mary Nona (née BRYNE) of Folkstone, England. Jim was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on July 3, 1927. In 1940, as a school boy he came to Canada alone as a war child via England to become a boarder at Toronto's Upper Canada College. Upon graduation from Trinity College at the University of Toronto, Jim secured a position with the Aluminum Company of Canada in Montreal. He served as a Major in the Black Watch during this time. Jim then embarked on a highly successful 36 year career in the investment industry as a Registered Representative, Branch Manager and Executive. His many community interests included volunteer activities with the United Way and as past Chairman of the Red Cross London Capital Campaign. His many passions and interests included being an active golf and tennis member of the London Hunt and Country Club, the London Squash Club (past president), skiing and having a green thumb in his beautiful garden. On Friday, February 25th, 2005, at the age of 43. Joseph, loving father of Amber, Megan and Joseph. Lovingly remembered by Karen. Predeceased by his father Steve. son of Marija REMSEI and husband Jon VASIC. Brother of Maria and her husband Steve KOCSIS. Uncle to Monika, Kristina and Lisa. Missed by his Aunts, uncles, cousins and many Friends. Visitation on Monday, February 28th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 432 Sheppard Avenue East (Bayview and Sheppard) on Tuesday, March 1st at 10: 30 a.m. Interment York Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Daniel at age 72 years, on Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Credit Valley Hospital. His family and wife Shirley of 50 years were by his side through his brave struggle with cancer to the end. He will be forever missed by his daughter Peggy CHUANG and her husband Denny and his son Dan TRUDEAU and his wife Carol,▲▼ Ottawa.▲▼ He will be forever remembered in the hearts of his 4 grandchildren Nichole and Kaitlyn TRUDEAU and Tyler and Bailey CHUANG. Dear▲▼ brother-in-law to Marlene and Jim MAHONEY (their travel companions,) Lorraine and Bill PORTER, Jerry▲▼ LAMORE, and the late Clara and Jake REMPEL. Loved▲▼ by nieces and nephews Debbie, Patty, J.J., Jason, Jeff, Blake and Brian. The family would like to thank the many Friends who offered love and support to us through this difficult journey. Especially the doctors and nurses on 2C at the Credit Valley Hospital. Extra thanks to Dr. Sam REMTULLA for always being there for us. The family will receive Friends at the Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas St. West (east of Runnymede Rd.) on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. from St. Francis Xavier Church, 5650 Mavis Rd. Interment Assumption Cemetery. Family dog Potter will keep your rocking chair warm.

At the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, November 3rd, 2005, after a long and courageous fight against cancer, Michael ENGELHART, formerly of Grand Bend. Born in Pine Falls, Manitoba, son of the late Homorata MILERSKI and Frank ENGELHART. Loving husband of Thelma Louise (GLOVER) for 30 years. Much loved father of Jessie, Rebecca and her husband Kevin DANIELS, Patrick and his wife Karen. Loving step-father of Cheryl STEVENTON, Diane REMUS and her husband Dave BELLMAN, Lori and her husband Bob WILSON. Wonderful grandfather of Jennifer, Kristin, Phillip, Alyssa, Chris, Anne, Erica and Amber. Great-grandfather of Madison, Tucker, Sabrina, David, Lexie, Tori and Xander. Survived by one brother Tadeusz (Florida). Predeceased by his first wife Patricia Rosemary (BAYS) and 2 brothers Norman and Klem. A service to be held in Michael Engelhart's memory on Thursday, November 10 at St. James Parish Hall, St. James Anglican Church, Paris from 2-4 p.m. Donations to the Brantford General Hospital or charity of your choice gratefully appreciated.
