PUGH, Glen Evans
Glen Evans, passed away peacefully in Chatham after a short illness on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, in his 91st year. A native of Chatham Township, he resided in Chatham-Kent all his life and served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1939 to 1945 on the H.M.C.S. Pictou. He is survived by his wife Christena (GILLESPIE) PUGH and his three children: Brenda CAMPBELL (and her husband Bernie) of Windsor, Vaughn PUGH (and his wife Martine) of Chatham and Patricia PLELI (and her husband Phil) of Windsor. Loving and proud grandfather of Ian, Peter and Jamie CAMPBELL, Colin and Kyla PUGH and Jillian and Christopher PLELI. Brother of the late Helen BURLOCK of London, Willard PUGH of Chatham Township and Owen PUGH of Dorchester. Survived by sisters-in-law Janet and Beatrice PUGH, Donna (Ralph) HOUSTON, Helen READE, Rita, Billie and Diane GILLESPIE and many nieces and nephews. In his prime, Glen was very active in sports, including hockey and baseball. He was also a great music lover and thoroughly enjoyed the Chatham Concert Band's summer concerts. The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to the staff of Residence on the Thames, the staff of 2nd Floor Surgical at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and Doctors G. WALKER, J. Beloved wife of the late Mervyn LOBB (2004) and the late Harold LOBB (1995.) Loving mother and mother-in-law of Fred and Kathy LOBB of Clinton, Phyllis LODGE of London, Richard and Carol LOBB, Bernie and David PUGH all of Clinton, Joe and Janet LOBB of Brucefield and Burt and Vicki LOBB of Clinton. Fondly remembered by Chris ARMSTRONG and her family of Bath. RIGSBY, Dorothy Margaret (née VARY)
Age 101 of Dresden passed away at the Copper Terrace Nursing Home, Chatham on Friday October 28, 2005. She was born in Chicago daughter of the late William and Margaret (TEDFORD) VARY. She taught school for many years in the Dresden area and was a Life Member of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire She was predeceased by her husband Andrew RIGSBY in 1962. Surviving is a daughter Margaret RIGSBY of Toronto; a niece Janet PUGH of Chatham Township; cousins Jeanne QUIGLEY and Betty CAMPBELL both of Chatham. Predeceased by one sister Jean VARY. Cremation at Resurrection Crematorium, Sarnia. Visitors will be received at the Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home, 620 Cross Street, Dresden on Thursday, November 3, 2005 for one hour prior to the Memorial Service at 1: 00 p.m. Memorial contributions to the Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

DURNAN, Helen Mary (née HARPER)
Born July 1st, 1915, Died July 16th, 2005
Passed away peacefully at Leisureworld Retirement Residence two weeks following a wonderful 90th birthday party with family and Friends in Gravenhurst. Helen was born in Gravenhurst at "Rosehurst" the Mickle family home on Bay Street (later known as Garner Lodge) to Grace and George HARPER. Pre-deceased by her husband, Charles Gordon DURNAN in May 1984. Survived by her brother Mr. Jack M. HARPER and sister Reverend Betty PUGH of Waterloo, Ontario. Loving mother of Michael (Carolyn) of Bracebridge and Gord (Dale) of Gravenhurst. Wonderful grandmother to five grandchildren - Rob, Scott, Chris, Sarah and Shannon and great grandmother to Carter and Jackson.
Helen was a leader in volunteer service in Waterloo, Ontario with the Canadian Red Cross, Victorian Order of Nurses and the United Church of Canada. Helen and her husband Gordon and family cottaged on the island on Gull Lake for more than 75 years.

Former Pharmacist of Dale's Pharmacy of Brampton, passed away on April 7, 2005 at Extendicare Halton Hills, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Jessie Ann. Loving father of Susan and her husband Claus CHRISTIANSEN. Proud Papa of Allison and Ryan. Brother of Zelda HALL and Elaine PUGHE. Predeceased by his brother Ron MILLER. Al was a long-time member of the Rotary Club and was actively involved in Probus and his local Seniors' Centre. Friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 289 Main St. N., Brampton (905-451-1100) on Monday, April 11, 2005 from 1-2 p.m. with a service to follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Private interment at Woodlawn Cemetery will be held at a later date. QUINCEY, L. Bruce
On Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at age 66, Bruce passed away, surrounded by his loving family and Friends, due to complications related to cancer. Bruce will be terribly missed by his wife Ann Marie, his partner in life and love, and by his children and sons-in-law Cindy and Ed (BIERNAT,) Karen and Mike (PUGLIESE,) Andrew and Darren. His grandchildren Lisa, Ashley, Jessica, Connor, Megan, Stephanie, and Mikayla will miss his deep laugh and strong snuggles. He also leaves behind many other family members and countless Friends who will always remember his sense of humour, his enthusiasm and his zest for life, such as his passion for golf, music and cooking. Bruce started his career with Pepsi Cola Canada working in Toronto and Winnipeg. His career with Pepsi Cola International led him overseas to Japan, Egypt, Greece and Spain. He eventually settled in Ottawa with Pepsi Cola Bottling Company and later became president and part owner of East Can Beverages. In his retirement, his sharp business sense led him to own and operate several East Side Mario's restaurants in the Ottawa area. His staff was like extended family and his passing will surely be felt by all. Bruce, we will keep you in our hearts always and you will never be far from our thoughts. Thank you for loving us and being a part of our lives. Special thanks from the family go out to the Intensive Care Unit and 5th Floor West doctors and nurses of the Ottawa General Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion.
