GOLDING, Dorothy Alice (née WAGHORN)
Of Saint Thomas, on Saturday, July 23, 2005, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Reed GOLDING (May 29, 2003) and dearly loved mother of Michael Reed and his wife Janet GOLDING of Saint Thomas and Ian David and his wife Nancy GOLDING of Oshawa. Loved grandmother of Anthony, Brenda, David and his wife Krysta and Edward. Sadly missed by 9 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was the last of her family. Predeceased by 2 sisters Ethel Mae HARVEY and Irene Kathleen WAGHORN and a grand_son. Dorothy was born in Tonbridge, Kent, England on October 19, 1920, the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice Elizabeth (PLUCK) WAGHORN. She has lived in Saint Thomas over 58 years and worked a number of years at the Grand Central Hotel. A Public Memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place, with interment of ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice.

Passed away peacefully at her residence, Caressant Care on Mary Bucke, Saint Thomas on Tuesday, October 18, 2005, in her 96th year. Wife of the late Harry E. EDWARDS (1986.) Beloved mother of Doreen and her husband Herbert R. WARREN, Philip J. EDWARDS, all of Saint Thomas, Robert J. EDWARDS, David J. EDWARDS and his wife Linda, all of Toronto, late (infant) Mary Ila EDWARDS (1953) and the late Donald W.G. EDWARDS (2004.) Loved grandmother of Stephanie (WARREN) PLUE and her husband Kevin of St. Catharines, H. Stephen WARREN and his wife Susan of Portland, Ontario, James EDWARDS of Petrolia, Sandy (EDWARDS) Morrison and her husband Terry of London, Thomas and Denise EDWARDS, both of Toronto. Loving Nana to great-grandchildren, Kelly-Mae MORRISON of London, Alexandria and Elizabeth PLUE of St. Catharines, and Matthew and Adam WARREN of Portland, Ontario. Also survived by a sister, Lillian THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON of Montreal and several nieces and nephews and predeceased by brothers, James, Albert, Philip and William Thompson and a sister, Mary HAYES. Angela was born in Québec City, Québec on December 19, 1909, the daughter of the late William and Margaret Alice (BRADY) THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON. She was a member of Saint Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Saint Thomas. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. (Prayers will be recited at 7 p.m.). A memorial mass will be celebrated at Saint Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Saint Thomas on Saturday at 10: 30 a.m. followed by interment of the cremated remains in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, memorial donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Victorian Order of Nurses or the Elgin Association for Community Living will be appreciated.

Peacefully at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre - Midland Ave. on June 25th, 2005 in his 65th year. Dear son of the late Jessie and Wesley PLUMMER of Montreal. Wes is survived by his daughter Lindy of Toronto and grandchildren Chance and Shay. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Joan DAVIDSON (Art) of Stouffville, Ontario, Marion MITCHELL (Fred) of Chateauguay, Québec, and nephews Geoff (Judy) of Maple Ridge British Columbia, Bob (Paule) and Glen (Sonya) of Toronto. Born in Saskatoon in 1940, Wes lived in Western Canada until 1954 when he moved to Montreal. In 1962 he joined the Hudson's Bay Company where he spent over 35 years in senior management positions in Montreal and Toronto. The family is very appreciative of the wonderful care Wes received at Leisureworld, especially from Virginia JOHN and Monica MILLER, and so many others on the fourth floor. After a long, happy, and productive life, it is with sad hearts we say goodbye to Jack, on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, in his 82nd year. He was a loving husband and best friend to his wife Pat for over 60 years. He loved and admired his three daughters, Lynda MacGREGOR (David), Anne McFADDEN, and Susie PLUMPTON (Dan). He was a mentor to his grandchildren Erin, Megan, and Rob, and enjoyed wonderful times with them. Jack graduated from the University of Toronto in Physical and Health Education and entered the recreation world in Brantford and Leaside as Recreation Director. He was the Ontario representative for the Community Programs Branch. He joined the faculty of Humber College, where he taught Recreation Leadership before becoming department chair. He was the founding president of the Leaside Curling Club. Upon retiring, he returned to his beloved Newcastle and became active in the Clarington Older Adults Association, the Newcastle/Bond head Ratepayers Association, and the Newcastle Village and District Historical Society. The family will receive their Friends at the Newcastle Funeral Home, 386 Mill St. S. (exit 440, just north of 401 at the lights, 1-877-987-3964) on Friday, June 24, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, June 25, at 1: 00 p.m., followed by a gathering at the family home. William John DICKEY of Centralia, Ontario in his 79th year. Peacefully passed away at Saint Joseph's Health Centre on Tuesday April 5, 2005. Loving husband of Joyce DICKEY. Dear son of Innes DICKEY of Lucan. Dear father of Judy and Bob IRONSIDE of London, Bill and Judy DICKEY of Calgary, Jim and Brenda DICKEY of Dawson Creek, Jan REYNOLDS of London, Deb and Mike HUNTER of Exeter and Chuck and Heather DICKEY of Mt. Carmel. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, brother Ron DICKEY of Lucan and chosen sister Margaret PENROD of Midland. Predeceased by his daughter Linda (Fred SMITH,) his sister Joyce TIMPANY, and sister-in-law Donna DICKEY. Bill will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives will be received by the family on Thursday April 7 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Dinney Funeral Home, 471 Main Street, Exeter (519-235-3500) where the funeral service will be held on Friday April 8th at 1 p.m. with Reverend Andrew PLUMRIDGE officiating. A Legion service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 167 Exeter will be held on Thursday at 6: 30 pm. Devoted grandpa of Laura Emily THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON. Loved brother of Gloria (Bill) Ricker of Hillsborough, New Brunswick, Judi (Jim) Jones of London, Gordon (Barb) BURT of Creemore and Danny BURT of London.
