A resident of Toronto, Melissa CONWAY passed away in Chatham on Monday, January 17, 2005 at the age of 29. Melissa faced her illness with courage, dignity, and grace. Her winning smile and sense of humour won the hearts of many people. Born in Chatham, beloved daughter of Robert and Janice (PRESTON) CONWAY of Chatham. Dear sister of Heather CONWAY of New York, New York, and Jennifer CONWAY of Toronto. Also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Melissa will be fondly remembered by special Friends Mike PESCE and Stephanie WISEMAN. Family will receive Friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, January 21, 2005 from 12: 00 and 2:00 pm. Funeral Service to immediately follow at the Funeral Home on Friday at 2: 00pm with Pastor Al McINTYRE officiating. Cremation has taken place. Suddenly on June 15, 2005 in his 76th year. John, beloved husband and best friend of Annelies. Dear brother of Janet KENNEDY of Australia, nephew of Sheilagh PESKETT of England. Dear brother-in-law of Willij and Daan TOUW- OOSTERMAN and Ena OOSTERMAN-DE LEEUW, all of the Netherlands and Suus and Frans STIBBE- OOSTERMAN of Belgium. Born on June 14, 1930 in London, England, John moved to Canada in 1956 and started his working career in the tourist industry where he was responsible for developing tourism to the Caribbean and East and South Africa especially. Before retiring he head the sales department of Commonwealth Holiday Inns for 18 years and was based in Toronto. John travelled extensively throughout North America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and India for business and pleasure. He was a member of the Skål Club of Toronto and held the position of President in the early 80s. Cremation has taken place privately and a memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Thompson Funeral Home, Aurora, 905-727-5421. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully in her 57th year with her husband and children by her side on the evening of Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Sunnybrook Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Devoted wife of Peter and loving mother of Nadean and husband Douglas, and Christopher and partner Colleen. Caring sister of Gloria, brother-in-law of Danny HARDYCHUK, and dear sister-in-law of Sonia STRATTON. Cherished auntie of nieces and nephew, Lisa, Kathy and husband Peter, Michael and Laura. On Friday, April 1st, 2005, after a brief battle with cancer, Joe passed away peacefully, cradled in the arms of his beloved wife Lenore. "Austrian Father" to Eva-Marie and Marc. Dear brother to his surviving sister, Renate. Devoted son of the late Stefanie (PESTNER) and Alois TROPPER and loving brother to his late sisters Eva, Helga and Maria, and brothers Addie, Gustl and Erwin. Joe was a loving and dear person, who devoted his life to his family. He had a wonderful sense of humour and he touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be sadly missed by his immediate and extended family and Friends. A private family memorial is being planned to celebrate his life. Joe will be interred in his homeland of Graz, Austria, so that he can rest in peace with his late parents and siblings. Joe always had a deep love of children. In his memory, donations to the Catholic Children's Aid Society would be appreciated by his family.
