HENRY,
Elizabeth "
Elaine" (née
PÉQUEGNAT)
Born February 23, 1919 in Stratford, Elaine died on Thursday,
December 29, 2005 in Toronto, after a courageous battle with
complications due to renal failure. Devoted wife of David and
loving mother to Janice. Doting Mormor to Christian and Catherine,
kind mother-in-law to Morten. She was a remarkable, gentle lady
whose boundless generosity of spirit touched everyone she knew
and loved. Her love of words made her a voracious reader, a wise
intellectual, a lover of trivia, and passionate for a good joke.
She was also a talented painter. Throughout her entire lifetime
she remained dignified, gracious, modest, dynamic, astute and
gallant. Her gift as a beautiful role model has left an imprint
on all she met and cared for. A private family service was held.
If desired, donations may be made to the University of Toronto,
Honour with Books Library Campaign, #416-978-7655 or to The Kidney
Foundation, 15 Gervais Drive, Suite #700, Toronto, Ontario M3C
1Y8.
"...where I glow with the modest good I did with my life, grateful
this gorgeous world will be here for others when I am gone..."
"So (she) passed over, and all the trumpets sounded for (her)
on the other side..."
"And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His hand"
We love you past infinity.
