After a valiant battle with ovarian cancer, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by her family, on September 29, 2005. Kathleen is
survived and dearly missed by her loving husband of 33 years,

Donn began his career in the newspaper industry at the New York
Times from 1950-1958 in the Labor Relations Department working
his way up to Assistant Manager before leaving to join the Toronto
Star. There he joined the Labour Relations Department as Manager
from 1959-1968. Donn spent one year with the Council of Printing
Industries in 1969 as Assistant General Manager on his way to
finishing his career with the Thomson Newspapers from 1970-1989
as Director of Industrial Relations. At Thomson Newspapers, Donn
was charged with the supervision of and occasional participation
in negotiations, grievance handling, arbitration, certification
and labour board procedures for 90 newspapers in the U.S. and
50 newspapers plus printing plants in Canada. Donn passed away
quietly at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill on Thursday,
November 3, 2005 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late

California. Tom was born in the village of Grange, Co. Sligo,
Ireland and immigrated to Canada in the early 1950's, he was
a proud Canadian but never lost his love for his place of birth.
In keeping with Tom's wishes, his body has been donated to the
School of Anatomy, Queen's University and his eyes to the eye
bank. A Memorial Mass and a celebration of Tom's life will be
held at a later date yet to be arranged. As expressions of sympathy,
memorial donations may be made to Cancer Research Foundation
or your favourite charity. His family wishes to thank the Saint
Elizabeth Health Care for the wonderful care provided to Tom,
particular thanks to Vicky, Ruth, Elizabeth and Gennaro. Thanks
