Age 30, of London and formerly of Stratford passed away suddenly at the London Health Science Centre on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Beloved fiance of Carmelina PAOLA and her children Ashley and Brandon. Loving son of Rick and Joyce GREENAWAY. Dear brother of Donnie. Cherished grand_son of Ruth and Bruce GREENAWAY, and Freda JACOB. Nephew of John JACOB, Richard JACOB, Stephen and Colleen JACOB, Robert and Kathy GREENAWAY, David and Sharon GREENAWAY, Michael and Dorothy GREENAWAY, Judy and Ron HOULE, Cathy and Tom FROESE. Also survived by many cousins, great aunts and uncles. Lovingly remembered by Joe and Maria PAOLA and family. Predeceased by his grandfather Edward (Ted) JACOB. Peacefully on August 13, 2005 at William Osler Health Centre - Etobicoke Campus in her 85th year. Ermita is predeceased by her husband Luigi. Ermita is lovingly remembered by her children Franca PAOLETTI, Grace (Eddy VILLA), Nicola (Lucia); Marcel (Christine), Marlene (Sergio FERRANTE) and also by her 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. PAOLINI, Kathleen Mary (née THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON)
After a valiant battle with ovarian cancer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on September 29, 2005. Kathleen is survived and dearly missed by her loving husband of 33 years, Michael. "Mum" will be deeply missed by daughters Michelle, Christina and Mary and her husband Ian BALL. " Nama's" loss will be felt by grandchildren Alyssa and Kiera. Kathleen's absence will be felt by her brother John THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, and sister-in-law Madge THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON of Wales, and many other Friends and family in England and Canada alike. Kathleen has been surrounded by much love and support from extended family members, close Friends, and teaching colleagues since her diagnosis in February. The family would like to extend deep gratitude to the caring staff at Markham-Stouffville Hospital, especially the nursing staff in the the Chemotherapy Clinic, 3 East and the Palliative Care Unit, and her physicians Dr. ARAGHI, Dr. SOLOW and Dr. LOUGHEED. Friends will be received at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main St. N. (Markham Rd.), Markham on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Kathleen's Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Patrick, 5633 Hwy. 7, Markham, on Monday, October 3rd at 1 p.m. with reception to follow. PURDY, Donn MacPherson
(Seaman Second Class in the U.S. Navy serving from 1945-1946). Donn began his career in the newspaper industry at the New York Times from 1950-1958 in the Labor Relations Department working his way up to Assistant Manager before leaving to join the Toronto Star. There he joined the Labour Relations Department as Manager from 1959-1968. Donn spent one year with the Council of Printing Industries in 1969 as Assistant General Manager on his way to finishing his career with the Thomson Newspapers from 1970-1989 as Director of Industrial Relations. At Thomson Newspapers, Donn was charged with the supervision of and occasional participation in negotiations, grievance handling, arbitration, certification and labour board procedures for 90 newspapers in the U.S. and 50 newspapers plus printing plants in Canada. Donn passed away quietly at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill on Thursday, November 3, 2005 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late Frances. Loving father of Laura and her husband Joseph PAOLINI, Roy and Gordon and his wife Jane. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Kyle, Kevin and Kaitlyn. A special and heart felt thank you is extended to all of the staff of the York Central Hospital who made Donn's last hours easier for all and to the members of the Book Art's Guild of Richmond Hill for their support. God called Anna peacefully on May 30th, 2005 from heart failure at the age of 62. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Nicola. She will be cherished by her dear children Maria (Danny FERRACCI), Carlo (Sabina) and Lucrezia (Sam PELLERITO). Proud Nonna of Erica, Leanna, Nicholas, Andre, Lorianna. Peacefully at home, August 23rd, 2005 after a courageous fight with cancer. Loving husband of Clare EARDLEY- THURSTON. Father of Geoff and Kevin and step-father to Linda THURSTON- NEELEY (Roger) and Ronald THURSTON (Cindy.) Proud grandfather of S. Lt. Ronald CLANCY and his brother Noel. Chosen Grampy to Selena and Carson. Tom had the love and respect of many cousins, nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Kathleen KNOWLES (Tom), Joseph EARDLEY (Pat), Hilda CORLESS and Mary BORDEAU (Robert.) Predeceased by his parents Bridie and Garda James CAMPBELL, also brother James (Nuala) and sister Breda. Survived by sister Pearl, Sligo, Ireland, brother Michael (Bea), New York, Noel, Castlebar, Ireland and Mary (Carlton), California. Tom was born in the village of Grange, Co. Sligo, Ireland and immigrated to Canada in the early 1950's, he was a proud Canadian but never lost his love for his place of birth. In keeping with Tom's wishes, his body has been donated to the School of Anatomy, Queen's University and his eyes to the eye bank. A Memorial Mass and a celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date yet to be arranged. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Cancer Research Foundation or your favourite charity.
