GIRDHAR, Mona (née SHAKRA)
The family announces the tremendous loss of Mona GIRDHAR on Monday, March 21, 2005. Genuine, principled, and strong-willed, she went out of her way to help others regardless of family association, and fought for justice even when it meant sacrificing herself. She was deeply spiritual and consecrated her actions to the divine light. Her tireless fight against cancer ended at the age of 55. She was the beloved wife of Ravi GIRDHAR, ever-loving mother of Neil and Samir, cherished daughter of Aimée and the late Amin SHAKRA. Dear sister of May (Jerry) OHLHOFF and Selim (Rosalie) SHAKRA. Devoted friend to the late Azar PAD and her children Raha and Raham. Will be sadly missed by her aunt Georgette (Tom) MORIARTY and her cousins Adel (Rollande,) and Aida MIRSHAK and her nieces and nephews Anne-Marie, Christina, Michael, and Jennifer. Friends may visit at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday in the Chapel at 2: 00 p.m. Cremation.
