Bill was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces (1942-1973), and
attained the rank of Warrant Officer. During his thirty years
of service as a noncommissioned officer, Bill was awarded the
Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the 1939-1945 War Medal, and
the Special Service Medal (serving with the North Atlantic Treaty
Organization). Bill also served the community with his contributions
as People's Warden and Rector's Warden of Trivitt Memorial Anglican
Church, Exeter, for many years. He will be remembered for his
sense of humour, stories of his many travels, and bear hugs and
whisker rubs. Thank you Bill for showing the importance of pride
in self, community and country. A funeral service will be held
on Wednesday, July 27th at Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church at
2 p.m. with Reverend Bill
WARD officiating. Cremation to follow.
Visitation from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the
service. Interment of ashes at Exeter Cemetery. Memorial Donations
to south Huron Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Dinney
