SCHEUERMANN, James Victor Charles
Suddenly in London, Thursday, November 10th, 2005. Jim SCHEUERMANN, of R.R.#2, Durham, in his 55th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Pauline (née DEMPSTER.) Loving and devoted father of Sarah, of Durham, and Jamie and Jonathan, both at home. Sadly missed by chosen family David, Matthew, Andrew, Jason, Chris, Richard and Crystal. Loved brother of Carol HARPER, of R.R.#2, Durham. Proud papa of Nathan. Special Uncle of Valerie and Ken MacDONALD and Karen and Darren NEFF and great-uncle of Katie. Also sadly missed by mother-in-law Betty DEMPSTER, brother-in-law Maurice and Colleen and family Rebecca, Michael, Jonathan and Joshua, brother-in-law Robert and sister-in-law Helen and John KRIPAS and son Connor. The family will receive Friends at the Fawcett-Mceachern Funeral Home, Durham, on Sunday from 2: 00 to 4: 00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral and Committal Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11: 00 a.m. on Monday, November 14th, 2005. Interment, Durham Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hanover Dialysis Unit or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

After a life of service to family and Friends, Laura Olivia SHAW (née HAWES) departed the body at Parkwood Hospital on Wednesday, May 11th, 2005 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Mr. Charles Arthur SHAW (1977.) Loving mother of Virginia WOOD and her late husband Keith and Sandra MORRIS. Dear grandmother of Laura GRAY/GREY (John,) Dale WOOD (Christine,) Lynda JACKSON, Shirley MORRIS, Edward MORRIS, Celia MORRIS, Eva MORRIS (Allen VON BARGEN, Christina FOWLER (Neil.) Great-grandmother of 23 and great-great-grandmother of 5. Also survived by sister Virginia ALWINE. Will be missed by many family and Friends. Predeceased by daughters Eloise SHAW and Beverly NEFF. At Laura's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Laura's life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to the Theosophical Associates (799 Adelaide St. North, London, Ontario N5Y 2L8) would honour the work that Laura dedicated her life to.

At Headwaters Health Care Centre on Monday, August 2, 2005 in her 92nd year; beloved wife of the late Albert COTTRELL; loved mother of Donald NEFF and his wife Janice of Orangeville and Barbara NEFF and her fiancee Michael VALENTI of Richmond, British Columbia; dear grandmother of Greg, Paul, Gary, David and Natalie and great-grandmother of Aidan; predeceased by her sister Elsie BOYD and her brother Jack. Funeral service was held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home and Chapel, 21 First Street, Orangeville on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m. Interment Singhampton Cemetery. The family will receive Friends 1 hour prior to service time. As expressions of sympathy donations to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Mrs. COTTRELL in the Dods and McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. At Princess Margaret Hospital on Tuesday, March 1, 2005. Born April 18, 1937. son of Charlotte NEFTIN and the late Philip LASSMAN. Father of Philip and Lori (Montreal), Julia and Saul (Toronto). "Zaida" to Ivanna, Mathew, and Libby. Hank will be missed by many Friends and extended family. A seed has been planted in the hearts of his partner Christina HAWRYLOWICZ and her family. Thank you to Dr. Joe GREENBERG and all the staff at P.M.H. He now rests peacefully at Kehal Israel Cemetery in Montreal. More information in the Gazette on March 5, 2005.
