QUIRK, Shirley Anne (née MOBBS)
Peacefully, at home, with her family and Friends by her side, on Tuesday, November 8, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Loving mother of Linda STEWARD/STEWART/STUART and Judy (Ken) EVANS. Predeceased by her grand_son Brett Dean STEWARD/STEWART/STUART. Survived by her sister Marilyn (Fred) CLARK, and nieces Donna (Danny) MacDONALD and Glenna CONWAY and their families. Special thanks to Jane (Gary) CAMPBELL and Andrea for their compassion and comfort, and the caregivers Elaine, Dr. L. WOOD, Dr. B. VARTY and Irene. Shirley will be remembered for her strength, courage, and sense of humour. She met her illness with determination and greeted each day with a positive attitude. Shirley was a wonderful mother, wife and friend who made taking care of her a joy and as easy as possible for those she loved. She touched the lives of many and was an inspiration to us all. We will miss her zest for and enjoyment of life and travel. As per Shirley's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of her life at a later date.

EDINBOROUGH, Alastair Michael (1950-2005)
Died February 15th, after a prolonged illness, in Shantou, China. Beloved son of Arnold and Letitia (Tish) EDINBOROUGH, Alastair died with his loving friend, Carla MOBLEY, by his side. Proud father of Campbell and Lucy (Duncan) of London, England, much loved brother of Kip (LONGSTAFF) and Sarah (ILEY) of Oakville, and affectionate uncle to Nicholas and Michael LONGSTAFF, and Meghan and Beth ILEY. Alastair loved China and was a popular teacher there. The family is indebted to the wonderful circle of Friends in Shantou who helped his brother-in-law Stephen ILEY thoughtfully care for Alastair over the past six months: Felix, Lam, Alice, Eric, Sioux, Shelly and Stone. We are grateful to Dr. Deng and the devoted nursing staff at the First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University for their excellent medical care. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
