Fereidoun (Fred)
MIRHADY. He died as he lived with all his family
close and him choosing his time. Born and raised in Tehran, Iran,
he received his medical training in Germany, Austria and England
- where he met his wife

MIRHADY before
immigrating to Canada in 1951. He enjoyed a multi-cultural pediatric
practice with an office at 63rd Avenue and Granville Street in
Vancouver that spanned almost 45 years and generations of patients.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Katharine and a devoted
extended family including five children: Nader (Chris

David (Mary-Alice), twelve grand-children: Eleanor; Brenna and

Friends and colleagues. He was Emeritus Clinical Professor of
Pediatrics at University of British Columbia, an enthusiastic
chess player, and a devoted teller of jokes, especially those
using more than one of his many languages. He was an active member
of the Iranian community in Vancouver and, with his wife, gave
support to initiatives that supported cross cultural understanding,
especially those involving his country of birth and his adopted
country, Canada. A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's
United Church, 7025 Granville Street, Vancouver at 11 am on Saturday,
January 15, 2005. Reception will follow at the church. In lieu

The family announces the tremendous loss of Mona
GIRDHAR on Monday,
March 21, 2005. Genuine, principled, and strong-willed, she went
out of her way to help others regardless of family association,
and fought for justice even when it meant sacrificing herself.
She was deeply spiritual and consecrated her actions to the divine
light. Her tireless fight against cancer ended at the age of
55. She was the beloved wife of Ravi

of Neil and Samir, cherished daughter of Aimée and the late Amin

At 35 years of age, our beloved Joanna
PARÉ (née
MIRSKA) passed
away on Sunday, October 30, 2005. Although her struggle with
cancer was short, she fought courageously and passionately and
all the while she never gave up hope. She is survived by her
precious gems, her young children, Michelle and Kyle, her loving
husband Dominic, and her parents Roman and Iwona
MIRSKI.
She▼
was a very caring mother, who always thought of her kids above
herself. She will always be remembered as a very special person
who showed us all the love and compassion that filled her heart.
All our thoughts and prayers are with her as she enters heaven
and finally finds everlasting peace. Mrs.

Scott Funeral Home - Mississauga Chapel, 420 Dundas St. E., (one
block west of Cawthra Rd.) 905-272-4040 for visitation on Tuesday

Bapai
Bapai BATLIWALLA, at Regional Mental Health Care on Tuesday,
February 1, 2005 in her 87th year. Bapai was a longtime resident
of Chesley Park. A special thank you to Community Care Access
Centre (Pat Lynch) and the Canadian National Institute for the
Blind for their care and assistance. Thank you as well to Mr.
Tehemton MIRZA for conducting the service. A private funeral
service was conducted at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220
St. James at Richmond on Wednesday February 2nd. Cremation.
