MAW,
Jean (née
ANTHONY)
At Etobicoke General Hospital on Wednesday, June 22, 2005. Jean
was born October 14, 1915 to Fred and Grace
ANTHONY at East Garafraxa
Township - County of Dufferin. Fred was a Canadian Pacific Railway
telegrapher who was assigned to locations such as Erin, Marsville
and Nashville (Station). Living accommodation was usually part
of the train station. During her youth Jean developed the ability
to paint and play the piano. In 1945 she met and subsequently
married Henry (Bud)
MAW.
She met Bud when her parents lived at
the Nashville Station (now part of the Kleinburg heritage display).
As a marriage partner she assisted Bud with the clean up of a
vacant lot and subsequent design/construction of a house which
is still in use today. Her talents with colour/design were put
to good use in this house for the next 50 years. These same talents
were again used to clear a lot and build a cottage at Wasaga
Beach. At the same time she was very involved with her children
in 4H, music lessons, ice skating lessons and pageants and modeling.
Later she assisted and motivated Bud to acquire a fuel oil supply
business, which is now known as Maw's Fuels Ltd. Jean took considerable
pride in her children - Dianne, Carla and Gary. She took great
pride in her grandchildren - Sheldon, Dustin, Stewart, Jason
and Eric and gave them the gift of skills and/or appreciation
for arts, crafts and music. In about 1990 medical problems commenced
and ultimately left Jean confined to a nursing home in 1995.
In June 2005 she was moved to the Palliative Care Unit at Etobicoke
General Hospital. Death took her Friends Ollie

Denise
(STEBBINS) (December 23, 1958-January 21, 2004)
In loving memory of a dear mother, Denise.
Everyday I see that monkey in my memory, I pull his tail.
Strange it is, when out your mouth comes the same words you heard
when you were young.
So the cycle continues, when out of the corner of your eye, it
must not be, a glimpse of your childhood in the looking glass.
Across the plains our love holds, with hearts of your creation.
Like a tribute so true, the generations fall With the foundation
of you.
Mom, we miss you! Love Audrey, Kyle, Daryn, Jaymie, Dad and Pat.
