OGDEN,
Gail
Elizabeth
Age 53, was a vivacious, vital woman and a kind friend to everyone
she knew. She passed away Thursday, October 6, 2005, due to complications
from a brain aneurism, brave and tough-as-nails to the end. Gail
will forever be in the hearts of Brian
TAILOR/TAYLOR, her husband of
27 years, her two daughters Erin and Kathryn, her mother Emma
OGDEN, sister Karen
OGDEN and her husband Allan
LYMAN, her brother
Robbie OGDEN and sister-in-law Sheila
OGDEN.
She is also missed
by her nieces Heather and Kirsten, her nephews Jeffery and Kevin,
her cousins Jim, Mary and Sharon, dear Friends Liz and Joyce,
and too many loving uncles, aunts, relatives and Friends to name.
Thanksgiving weekend was her favourite time of year. She loved
spending time with her family and cherished the annual cottage
trip. Gail was always the life of the party, her spirit and joy
for life never failing to get everyone's attention. Gail survived
breast cancer nine years ago, and she inspired everyone with
her strength and determination to enjoy every moment of life.
She loved traveling and got to spend time with her husband and
daughters this past summer in Europe, an opportunity they are
thankful for. Gail also loved working at M.H.S., and cared very
much about her colleagues there and in previous jobs. In recent
years, Gail discovered she was an excellent teacher through her
work at Humber College, and relished the fact she could help
curious young minds achieve their goals. Gail was an extremely
proud mother and wife, and as her countless Friends know, she
rejoiced in all of their successes. Everyone who knew Gail will
always remember the special way she touched them, big or small.
She was a professional listener, and would want everyone who
is mourning her, to take care of each other and to celebrate
her life. Thank you to the wonderful nurses and doctors at St.
Michael's Hospital who made sure she wasn't in any pain, and
who carried out her wish to donate her organs. She helped other
people in life every day and now also in death. There will be
a visitation Monday, October 10, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Runnymede
United Church, 432 Runnymede Rd., and a celebration of her life
Tuesday, October 11 at 2 p.m. at the same location. In lieu of
flowers, please send a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society
in Gail's honour.
