Born in Wishaw, Scotland, Mary trained as a nurse and midwife
in Glasgow, eventually moving to Hull, England as a Queen's Nurse.
Coming to Canada to marry Edgar, she joined the Victorian Order
of Nurses in Toronto. During her nursing career in Canada she
tended to patients in Gimli, Manitoba, Alliston, Ontario and
at Windsor's Metropolitan Hospital. Cremation has taken place
and the ashes will be interred in Campbeltown, Kintyre, Scotland,
where Mary spent summer holidays as a child. Donations in lieu
of flowers to the research fund of the A.L.S. Society of (Windsor)
Essex County, 1426 Front Road South, Amherstburg, Ontario N9V
