It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother after a brief illness on November 29, 2005 at 73. Beloved wife of the late Bruce SHADLOCK. Dear mother of Diana and her husband Gene LECINSKI, and Bradley SHADLOCK and his wife Andrea. Adored Nana of Greg and Doug LECINSKI and Taylor SHADLOCK. Bev was an active member of the community who enjoyed every day of life and whose family and Friends were cherished dearly. He is survived by 3 sisters, Mary MacISAAC, Ottawa, Regina SUTHERLAND, Sydney, Nova Scotia and Leola LECK of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; a brother-in-law Lt. Col. (ret'd) John F. MacISAAC; and a sister-in-law, Roberte QUINTAL. Born in Sydney, May 29, 1927. Graduate of St-Francis Xavier University (B. Sc.), McGill University (B.Eng.) and the University of Ottawa (M.B.A.). John had an interesting career, including at Dow Chemical in Sarnia, and many years with the Federal Government in international trade. Predeceased by her husband Arnie, June 1, 1985. Proud recipient of the Order of Sancta Barbara award for Mining Women in Canada. Her love of life, family, volunteering, her service during World War 2, and her years in the Mining fraternity with everything it had to offer made her the special Mother, Grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Jean passed away peacefully in Totem Lodge with her loving family at her side. Special thanks to the staff at Totem, especially Maureen, Laurie, Pat, Adriane, Jeannie, Catherine, Bev and Eddie. Jean leaves behind three children. Beloved wife of 25 years to Ian, and loving mother of Jolene and Janessa. Dear daughter of Ollie and Shirley JOHNSON, and special sister of Karen McLEAN (Cameron.) Cherished daughter-in-law of Howard and Margaret LECONTE. Devoted aunt of Mark and Emily McLEAN, Chris (Tanya) and Jason (Marlene) LECONTE, Nathalie and Noelle LECONTE- GOOD, and Stephen, Jennifer and Sarah HANSON. He will also be sadly missed by Barb's mother Martha LINTON of Barry's Bay, brother Russell LINTON (Roseann) of Kanata, sister Linda LECOURT (Paul) of Manotick and sister Martha TUCKER (Rob) of Alliston and nieces and nephew Krista, Jeff, Jenny, Jeff, Corey, Christian and Chesley. Predeceased by his father Dr. John GRAHAM (1970) and his brother George GRAHAM (2002). Rob spent his life devoted to his family, Friends and the community. He became the Executive Director of the Ontario Commercial Fisheries Association in April 1990 and was the Chair of the Canadian Advisors to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission. Rob proudly received the Ontario Commercial Fisheries Association Partnership/Goodwill Award which has been renamed the Robert L. Graham Partnership Award. He helped to shape the community of Erie Beach serving as Reeve from 1977-1988 and sitting on various committees for Kent County Council. From 1982-1986 Rob served as commissioner of the St. Clair Parkway Commission. He is a past-president of the Blenheim Rotary Club and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. Once Tim and Allison moved from Erie Beach to London, Rob and Barb learned the game of golf and spent their 'empty nest' time loving life together on the golf course. Over the last year and a half as Rob bravely battled cancer there were many times to reflect on his life of 60 years. In the end he was proud to say that he had no regrets. He loved unconditionally, he laughed loudly and he gave a warm smile to everyone who crossed his path. He found the best in everyone and was known as a peacemaker. He has positively touched the lives of many and will be missed dearly by everyone. Resting at the J.L. Ford Funeral Home in Blenheim, 141 Park Alley, visitation on Friday, January 14th (today) from 2-4: 00 p.m., 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mary's church on Saturday, January 15th at 11: 00 a.m. with Father Ivo TOMMELYN as celebrant. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Of Valleyview Home, Saint Thomas, on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at her late residence, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late E. Jack BALSDON, Chet FOX and Tom MARKLE. Dear mother of W.J. Butch BALSDON and Myrcelle BALSDON, both of Saint Thomas and step-mother of Wayne, Dorval, Bruce and Keith FOX. Predeceased by a sister. Sadly missed by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gladys was born in Saint Thomas on March 22, 1918, the daughter of the late Henry and Flo LECOURTOIS. She was retired from Elgin Manor.
