Entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord on January 4, 2005 at Parkview Home for the Aged in his 83rd year. Loving husband of the late Irene. Devoted father to Wayne and his wife Delphy and Bruce and his wife Susan. Proud grandfather of Rod (Laurie), Tanya (Sam) KUEHL, Melissa, Michael, Matthew and Kriss. Will be missed by great-grandchildren Samantha, Trystan, Alishia and Jody. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, from 1: 00 - 3: 00 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue (3 lights north of Hwy. 7) Markham, 905-305-8508 and from 5: 00 - 7: 00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Churoh, 3885 Stouffville Road (east of Kennedy Road) with service at the church beginning at 7: 00 p.m. Private family interment. Passed away at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital on Saturday, May 7, 2005. David, beloved husband of the late Doreen McDERMOTT (née BARRIE,) loving father of Dale BEESTON, Dawn KUEHL, Dana and her husband Allan YORK, and Dean McDERMOTT. He will be forever cherished in the hearts of his grandchildren Spencer, Shona, Ryan, Tyler, Darcy, Derek, Rebecca, and Jack, and great-grandchildren MacLean, Dakota, Austin, Ethan, and Chloe. David will be lovingly remembered by his many brothers and sisters. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Fawcett Funeral Homes, Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2: 00 p.m. Cremation. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. THATCHER, Wendy (previously ADCOCK)
Passed away November 2, 2005 at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, after a brief battle with cancer. Beloved wife of over 10 years to John THATCHER, predeceased by Hugh ADCOCK. Wendy will be sadly missed by her daughters Carol ADCOCK and her partner Tim MITRA and Pat BUSTARD and her husband Peter, grand_sons David KUEHLEIN and his wife Nanthekha THIYAGARAJAH, Jonathan KUEHLEIN and his wife Sherrie and Adam BUSTARD, granddaughter Jennifer BUSTARD and partner Neal KENNEDY and by great-grand_sons Xavier and Foster KUEHLEIN. Many Friends and family will also miss her in her native Ireland. A strong believer in giving of her time, Wendy was an enthusiastic participant and gifted teacher for almost 50 years with the Margaret Morris Movement and worked extensively to help those suffering with Parkinson's disease. Friends will be received at the Neweduk Funeral Home - "Mississauga Chapel", 1981 Dundas St. W. (1 block East of Erin Mills Pkwy.) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Wendy's Life will be held on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. Reception information will be available after the funeral at Neweduk Funeral Home. Beloved grandmother of Paul KUENEMAN (Kate), Jennifer HOPP (Steve), and Scott McCRON and great-grandmother of Sydney HOPP and David KUENEMAN. Very special aunt of Ina (Rob,) Harley and Lucas JACKSON. Ethel will also be greatly missed by her extended family Joni, David and Glen WATTS, Barb SCAIFE, and Bob and Audrey STEVENSON.
