Art attended University of Toronto Schools, and then entered
medical school at the University of Toronto to graduate in 1943
and join the Royal Canadian Navy. After a tour of duty overseas,
he undertook postgraduate training in pediatrics, and joined
the staff at the Hospital for Sick Children where he worked for
more than 30 years. Art enjoyed an active private practice in
North Toronto as well as a long and productive career in pediatric
medicine associated with the University of Toronto. He was passionate
about family and Friends, but also loved music (and musicals),
gardening, stamp collecting, curling, and the daily crossword
puzzle. Art was never happier than when at the cottage on his
beloved Stoney Lake. Special thanks to Friends and neighbours
for their constant support over the years. A private service
will be held at Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave.
W. (2 stoplights west of Yonge St.) on Saturday March 5th at
11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Toronto
Symphony Orchestra, the Hospital for Sick Children, or a charity
of your choice.

Mary came to Canada in 1952 taking up residence in Orangeville
and later Acton and then to Chatham. She was a member of Grace
Christian Reformed Church and the Ladies Society of the Church.

St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Tuesday from 2: 00-4:30 p.m. and

peacefully in his sleep, around midnight, on October 2, 2005,
at Trillium Health Centre - Mississauga Site, at the age of 81.
At last he has been reunited with his beloved wife Helen in heaven,
who left him much too early at the age of 59. Predeceased by
his loving parents John and Anne

In his later years, he was blessed to have Jean
THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON become
a part of his life and was welcomed by her family as part of
theirs. Words cannot express the joy and comfort her companionship
brought to his life. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air
Force at the age of 17 and flew in Lancasters as a Navigator
in World War 2, and was awarded several medals for his contributions.
Later he became a national marketing manager with Bell and Howell
and in later years opened his own business. Former Grand Knight
of the Knights of Columbus and former president of the Holy Name
Society. He also joined several other service clubs. He loved
big band music, hockey, stamp collecting, painting, cooking,
and most of all laughing. He will always be remembered as a constant
source of optimism and a joy to spend time with. He lived life
with gusto as evidenced by the sparkle in his eye. Friends will
be received at the Neweduk Funeral Home - "Mississauga Chapel",
1981 Dundas St. W. (1 block east of Erin Mills Pkwy.) on Wednesday
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady

knew him.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Ken grew up on Alberta Avenue, attended
McMurrich Public School and Oakwood Collegiate Institute. Ken
volunteered, in 1943, for active service with the Royal Canadian
Air Force. In 1950 Ken graduated from the University of Western
Ontario (Bachelor of Arts). Always a competitive athlete, Ken
was a member of London, Ontario city championship teams: Football
- South Collegiate Institute 1941; Softball - Somerville 1948
and London Life 1952.
Ken's business career commenced with London Life at head Office
achievements included, in 1959, installation of the original
Univac system followed by conversion to System 360. His career
concluded at North American Life as Staff Counsellor helping
others. Both roles were new at the time and each required Ken's
innovative and organizational abilities resulting in many accomplishments.
No words can adequately express the thanks due to Doctor Len
KRYSTOLOVICH and the remarkable nursing team of compassionate
professionals at the Palliative Care Unit of York Central Hospital.
The family also wishes to extend their appreciation to all of
those who offered their support during this most difficult time.
A Memorial Service will be held at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366
Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, Ontario (4th traffic light north
of Major Mackenzie Drive), on Saturday, November 19, 2005, commencing
at 2: 00 p.m.; reception to follow. Private interment.
Remembrances, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Alzheimer
Society of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.
