Loving mother of Elizabeth (Dr. Fred HOY,) Gloria, Christine (the late David Peter) and Deborah (Dr. Gordon WILLMOT.) Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey, Matthew, Lyndsay, Rachel, Lauren and Kristen. Survived by her sister Margaret SORA. Predeceased by sisters Frances OMORI and Mary MADOKORO; brothers Harold, Robert, Thomas, George, Jack and Major Kimoto. Resting at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Ave., Markham (three lights north of Hwy. 7) 905-305-8508. FORCELLINI, Maria (née BATTISTELLO)
Maria was born on June 13th, 1909 in Paese, Montebelluna, Italy and passed away on December 29, 2005 in Toronto, Ontario. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Amedeo FORCELLINI. " Dolce dormire" It is sweet to sleep. Maria often said that she loved to sleep because it gave her the opportunity to dream about being young again. At 96, one can understand her need. She fished, hunted and played cards every Friday night. She won many bocce tournaments at the cottage at Round Lake. With skilled hands she prepared exquisite meals, could crochet, embroider and sew. Drawing from her repertoire of Italian arias and love ballads, her crystalline singing voice entertained family and Friends. She will be celebrated by those who remain and embraced by those who have gone before. Maria is survived by her son Peter (wife Helen) grand_son Peter (wife Jennifer;) granddaughter Lana ROGERS (husband Alan); great-grand children Amanda, James and Taylor daughter Elena BIZZANO deceased (husband Antonio deceased;) grand_son Corrado (wife Donatella) and great-grand_son Bruno; granddaughter Graziella BIZZANO (husband Beppe,) great-grand children Davide and Stefania; son Alessandro, wife Ann; grand_sons Christopher and Andrew; daughter Anna RATHGEBER (husband Ken) and grand_son Jacob. Special thanks to the staff of the St. Clair O'Connor Community and Dr. KOBLENS for their compassionate attention and care. In memoriam, donations to the St. Clair O'Connor Community Nursing home at 2701 St. Clair Avenue East, Toronto M4B 3M3 would be appreciated. Born in England, on December 1, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Fannie (HALL) and Jack FICKLING. She will be sadly missed by: a daughter Joyce JONES of Chatham, grandchildren, Susan JONES of Newmarket, Bonnie and Art LADD of Chatham Township, and Shirley and John KOBLER of Kapuscasing, great-grandchildren Michael and Rebecca LADD and a sister-in-law Shirley FICKLING of London. She is predeceased by a brother John FICKLING and a son-in-law Max JONES (1998.) Jacob Anthony Stewart KOBUS, age 11, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on February 24, 2005. Jacob is the loving son of Henk and Laura (KNECHTEL) KOBUS, R.R.#5 Mitchell. Cherished brother of Daniel and Miriam. Loving grand_son of Stewart and Barbara KNECHTEL, R.R.#2 Gads Hill, Wils KLAVER, The Netherlands, Jan KOBUS and Zdena, Greece. He will be missed by his aunts and uncles Bonnie and Todd MULLIGAN and family, Clare and JoAnne KNECHTEL and family, Murray and Val KNECHTEL and family, Anita and Eerde VANLEEUWEN and family.
Jacob attended Upper Thames Elementary School in Mitchell. He was a special child and touched the lives of many people. Family and Friends may call at the W.G. Peacefully at University Hospital, on Saturday, April 16, 2005. David Kent SHOULTS of London, and formerly of Ingersoll, Ontario, in his 65th year. Born in New Brunswick, 1940, raised in Ingersoll. Loving uncle of Edie KOBUS of Tillsonburg and brother to Mervyn of North Bay. True friend of Tammy Lynn WILLIAMS, Edward PHELPS, Andre EASTABROOK, Jeff HALL of London and many others. Kent was a widely known dealer and restorer of antique lighting and brass, as well as antiques generally and of classic autos. He did much to save and preserve the history of Ingersoll. His business career started in 1962 and lasted until near the very end, when his tired soul was called home. As the remains have been donated for scientific purposes to the University of Western Ontario Medical facilities, a further announcement of a memorial gathering will be made later. We would like to open up a "Book of Memories". Written items for the book can be sent to Ed PHELPS, 279 Wortley Rd, London, Ontario N6C 3R3. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
