Naval veteran of World War 2 (known to his naval Friends as "Hardtack")
Died at his home in Toronto on August 15, 2005 in his 81st year. son of the late Dr. Frederick C. HARRISON and Gladys SUTHERLAND. Survived by his sisters Mary BARNETT and Margaret CROSS of Toronto. He is also survived by the love of his life Dr. Joan Fletcher HARRISON to whom he has been happily married for 55 years. He was the father of Michael (Sarah FRENCH) of Guelph, Dr. Christopher (Deb BLAIR) of Calgary, Dr. David (Dr. Cathy LE FEUVRE) of Mississauga and Dr. Helen of Ottawa. He has 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was born and brought up in Toronto. He attended Rosedale Public School, Upper Canada College and Royal Canadian Naval College. In 1944-1945 he was the navigator of M.T.B. 745 and 736 of the 65th Canadian Motor Torpedo Boat Flotilla operating in the English Channel, the North Sea and the Scheldt Estuary. When the war ended he became a medical student in the infamous ex-service year of the University of Toronto, graduating in 1950. Five years of postgraduate work at Toronto teaching hospitals and the Banting Institute were followed by six marvelous years of practice at Deep River, Ontario. Returning to Toronto, he conducted private practice and was a medical officer with Bell Canada for 27 years. During this time he served as Medical Officer for the Eastern Arctic Patrol in 1962 and 1965, screening Inuit in the Eastern Arctic for tuberculosis. While with Bell he had many visits to Saudi Arabia, looking after Bell employees while Bell put in a new telecommunications system in the Kingdom.
Don has been a life-long cottager at Go Home Bay, was president of the Madawaska Club at Go Home Bay, a member of Alpine Ski Club and the Aesculapian Club. He had a passionate love of skiing, boating and especially sailing.
The family thanks Dr. John KIM, Dr. Anoo TAMBER, and the staff of the Princess Margaret Hospital for their care and thoughtful consideration.
The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 18. A funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock on Friday August 19 at Church of St. Michael and All Angels, 611 St Clair Ave. West (at Wychwood Ave.), Toronto.

With sorrow, the family of John D'Angelo announce his peaceful passing on September 10th after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Shelley (née WIGHAM.) Profoundly loved by his mother, Ancilla and father Ivo (deceased). A good friend to William (Bill) and Anne WIGHAM (Calgary.) Sadly missed by sister, Amalia CORRIERO and husband Peter (Toronto) and sister-in-law Karen FRANKS and husband Myron (Calgary and Nelson.) John was a man of honour and high standards. A graduate of University of Toronto (Honours, B.Sc.) and University of Western Ontario (M.B.A.) his work in the world of technology and finance brought him great satisfaction and garnered him many life long Friendships. His thirst for knowledge was unquenchable and his love of writing culminated in the book he believed in each and every one of us. John will be remembered as an old soul by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the entire care team at Princess Margaret Hospital, especially Dr. David HEDLEY, Dr. John KIM, Dr. Dori SECARRECCIA, Dr. BRYSON, Dr. Madeline LI and the compassionate professionals on the 16th floor.
John will be cremated as he wished. Of Redington Beach, Florida, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to Florida in 1977 from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was a well known international entertainer, television star and recording artist. She and her husband, Paul, were the longtime owners of the Island House Motor Hotel in North Redington Beach. She was an avid golfer and member of the Bayou Club. She worked with and donated to the Kidney Foundation, the American Cancer Society, Shorecrest Preparatory School and Academy Prep. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Paul D., a son, David L. and wife Stacy, San Diego, California, a brother, Dong-Hoon KIM, Seoul Korea, 3 sisters, Sunja KIM and Hye-ja KIM, both of Toronto and Eun-ja, Seoul, Korea, 11 nieces and 9 nephews and many Friends. 3 sought in Ryerson student shooting

Toronto police are looking for three suspects after a man was shot dead in his downtown apartment Friday night near Ryerson University.
According to police, neighbours called when they heard arguing, then gunshots from an apartment on the 10th floor of a high-rise building on Gerrard St. E. near Yonge St. just before 10 p.m. Friday. When police arrived they found Will KIM, a 30-year-old university student, lying in the doorway to his apartment, wounded from a gunshot.
Police at the scene investigated overnight and left the building just after 1 p.m. yesterday carrying a few bags and a computer.
Minutes later a pair of KIM's Friends, Jennifer▼ VEINOTTE and Phil TAVERNER, arrived at the building. VEINOTTE dabbed tears from her eyes and described a friend she had known for four years. "He was by far the most amazing person I ever met," she said. "People like Will don't die. He had too many Friends."
The high-rise apartment building is across the street from Ryerson University, where Friends say KIM was a first-year architecture student.
An autopsy is scheduled for today. Police believe robbery was the motive. They describe one suspect as 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-8 with a medium athletic build and a shaved head. He was seen Friday night wearing a white do-rag and a green football jersey with white letters. The other two are both described as 25 to 30 years old. One is about 5-foot-10 with a thin beard.

He will be greatly missed by his sons Ray (Cindy) and Ken. He will also be missed by his sister, Marion KIMBRO (Michael▼) of Grand Terrace, California and his nieces Michelle, Nancy and Sue, as well as his beloved granddaughters Catharine and Bethany. Robert loved people. One of his greatest pleasures, being the many dear Friends made during his 39 years as the owner of Woodhams Clothiers at Sunnybrook Plaza. Some of Robert's other enjoyments included good food, travelling, particularly, the many trips to Egypt with Jean and performing magic tricks for his children and later, his granddaughters. Died peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on November, 9 2005. Martin, of Hastings, born February 23, 1946. Loving husband and best friend to Heather BONSELL. Loving father to Warren BONSELL, and Julie and her husband Rick KIMMETT. Cherished Grandpa to Cameron and Ayla. Martin is survived by his parents Norman and Sylvia BONSELL, his brothers, Paul (Roberta,) Allan (Jan,) and Terry (Dawn,) and his sister Dawne ZEKAI and his nieces and nephews. Memorial Celebration of Martin's life will be held on Sunday, November 20 from 1-4 p.m. at the Hastings Legion. Donations being accepted for the Cancer Society and the P.R.H.C. Palliative Care Unit.
